1.0 out of 5 stars Buggy, November 11, 2007
By Jet (Providence, RI United States) - See all my reviews
We are on our second camera in three weeks and will need to return it as well. The camera has some sort of software bug that makes it suddenly stop taking photos and start cycling though the startup screen over and over again. We've had the same problem with both cameras. so it seems likely it is a design flaw rather than a strange problem with just one camera.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good For A Toy Kid's Camera, November 24, 2007
By A. Stagg (Virginia, USA) - See all my reviews
(TOP 100 REVIEWER)
If you are expecting a Canon Powershot or Nikon Coolpix, you will be disappointed.

But, this is not an adults camera, it's for kids. I have to say, it's the highest quality kid's camera I've seen. When using the flash, the pictures lean towards the orange and red part of the spectrum. But, my kids don't care. There is also a long delay when trying to take pictures. Again, my kids don't care. Annoying for me? Sure! Unlike other toy camera's, the Pixie's pictures are clear. All toy cameras have weak flashes and are prone to blurring.

Also, this toy eats batteries pretty quickly. I think some of the comments about the camera malfunctioning are related to weak batteries.

The binocular viewfinder is perfect for kids and the LCD viewfinder does a fine job. Hopefully, the next generation of kid's camera will improve, but for now, this seems to be the best of the lot.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed Child, November 12, 2007
My son received this as a birthday gift and was really excited. Although the picture quality isn't so great, he had fun playing with it for about 15 minutes. He played a few games and seemed to be content with the camera overall.
However, when we tried to use it later in the day, the camera function would not work. It wasn't a battery issue because the game mode was just fine. My son played with this camera for a total of about 30 minutes and now it's broken.
