3.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for. I read a lot of reviews before buying this and I thought it sounded ok for the price. I'm not a professional photographer and would just be using this on vacations and mainly for stationary video camera shootings. I think the product is cheap but that's what you get for $20. The plastic that it's made from feels cheap and I'm afraid that a piece...

3.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for, April 19, 2011
This review is from: Polaroid 57-Inch Photo/Video Tripod with Deluxe Tripod Carrying Case for Digital Cameras and Camcorders (Electronics)
You get what you pay for. I read a lot of reviews before buying this and I thought it sounded ok for the price. I'm not a professional photographer and would just be using this on vacations and mainly for stationary video camera shootings. I think the product is cheap but that's what you get for $20. The plastic that it's made from feels cheap and I'm afraid that a piece will break off each time I put on/take off my camcorder. If I knew what this was like before I bought it I wouldn't have bought it in the first place. I'm going to keep looking for a sturdier and probably more expensive tripod. If you're going to use this a lot I wouldn't recommend this specific tripod.

5.0 out of 5 stars Price perfect, April 5, 2011

I'm an amateur photographer, so I wasn't looking for anything expensive. I also didn't want anything flimsy and extraordinarily cheap. I came across this tripod and saw all the great reviews it had gotten. I got it by mail and was impressed by what I got for the price. I couldn't be more happy with the tripod. The two bubble levels are very useful. The head is also very easy to use. Although, the only gripe I have with it is the pan head doesn't move smoothly. Whenever you want to move it, it jerks and you have to sort of force it to move. If you're looking for shooting smooth video, then avoid this tripod. I'm happy with just shooting pictures, and still videos, so it doesn't bother me much.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent first tripod, March 27, 2011

This review is from: Polaroid 57-Inch Photo/Video Tripod with Deluxe Tripod Carrying Case for Digital Cameras and Camcorders (Electronics)
This is the best first tripod ever, simple because is very cheap!!!! however, cheap also means lack of quality in some ways.
The head of the tripod is made of plastic (as is common), but the termination is not good at all. This is my first tripod, so I am using this as my learning piece. It does the work very good, sometimes it not easy to move, but what to do, it is cheap!

The reason why I give 5 stars is because it has all the component of the expensive tripods, so you can learn, then when you have enough experience -and some money saved- you can go for a better one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Tripod thats affordable!, March 23, 2011

This item I received today within reasonable time frame from Amazon and I really like it and fixed my need to use a tripod thats better then those cheap ones sold at your local retailer like Walmart's. Many features needed for a serious photographer (or novice) and video recording sessions. Look at the listed specifications and item description and you get exactly what is described. The only thing not mentioned is just how good it's built and easy to work with. I would recommend this item to anyone.

It's not the greatest but will do the job. It hold's my T2i just fine.I will get a better one soon and use this as a back up. It's light weight, plastic but sturdy. Head does not move smooth but...then again..I don't use it everyday. I have used it to learn my camera and I do like the fact that has a bag to carry it in but I should have gotten a taller one.

I am totally satisfied with this product. The features impressed me. First, it is extremely light; you can walk around the earth with this thing slung on your shoulder. Then I was surprised by the two levels.I just hope that the head is a standard thing and will take my telescope when I purchase one. The price is impressive. As for features , what will they think of next?

2.0 out of 5 stars Just toolight and flimsyThe mau=in, December 31, 2011

This review is from: Polaroid 57-Inch Photo/Video Tripod with Deluxe Tripod Carrying Case for Digital Cameras and Camcorders (Electronics)
The main reasons for using a tripod are: A long exposure in dim light, High magnification lens that magnifies hand shake,to take multiple exposures with under and over exposures of the same subject. There are more but my point is that a tripod is used to steady the camera. This tripod doesn't do that because of its weak construction and over-flexability.
