Bad news from Polaroid,

I love my MIO camera and the crisp, fun-sized photos it takes (they're absolutely perfect for photographing your shoes and sticking on the shoe boxes...), but like most people, I've had an incredibly hard time finding the film. I called Polaroid today and they said it is no longer available in stores and that "management" is making a decision on what to do in the future. In other words, my 3-month-old camera may be useless soon. If you're planning to purchase the camera, don't - you might not be able to get film for it. Sorry :(

GOOD NEWS FOR POLAROID MIO LOVERS,
By AuburnTygr (Central Alabama) - See all my reviews

I really enjoyed my MIO Camera/Film and was very disappointed in Polaroid when they discontinued the MIO camera & film. I received rave reviews every time I pulled the camera out and began snapping photos. I also researched and found claims that Fuji Instax Mini Film worked in the MIO. I tried and it works great! The colors are brighter and seem to be more vibrant than the Polaroid MIO film. Maybe one day Fuji will bring their line to the US. One can hope.........

I bought this camera for my 12 1/2 year old daughter. The camera takes great pitures and they are the perfect size for her and her friends. I am having a really hard time finding the film where we live, that is the only complaint that I would have. For anyone that has a teen or preteen that likes to take pictures to share with there friends I would encourage you to get this camera. As we all know buying and developing film can get costly, this is a great alternative. Also, It is simple to understand and to use.

I love this camera. I think it's a cute idea and fun for parties, etc. I'm not really here to talk about the camera, but give some hope to those who like using this camera as much as I do. I used mine a few times and then discovered that both the film and the camera were not being made any longer. After sending Polaroid a nasty email I decided to research. I FOUND FILM THAT WILL WORK IN IT!!! Fuji makes the same format camera as the Mio, which they call the Instax Mini. The Film is available in Europe and Asia (not the US unfortunately - probably because of Polaroid) - but anyway.... I have found some online through shops and ebay (search internationally on ebay). I got some, tried it out and it works!!! It's the same film format and packaging! Keep buying the film from Fuji so they don't stop making it!!!!!!!

my little mio is sitting in the closet. . . the story i got straight from polaroid is that fuji entered into a contract to make the film for polaroid, and then backed out. . .
i loved this little camera. it was so much fun at parties. . . now it lives in the closet in a case i bought just for it, gathering dust. i take it out every now and then. . . they offered me a polaroid 600 in exchange for it, but i don't want that normal looking camera. i want my mio!!!

I purchased this camera, and film, while in the Philippines and use it now in the USA. It is a fun camera, takes very good pictures, and is quite portable. Children especially love to have thier picture taken and watch the photo develop in front of their eyes. It is a great conversation tool and we have made many new friends by using this Mio. It is great!

I am 76 years old and I like the ease of the directions and the pictures are neat. I wish it would have had a case with it. My pictures so far have been clear with out trying to adjust it. I had a hard time pressing the batteries in. I took pictures of our new baby in the family and turned out so nice

Never in stock at store.,
By A Customer

I have checked three Target stores in a 50 mile radius and all three stores DO NOT have this film ever in stock. I purchased my camera at a Target Store in October 2002. I went to purchase film a month later and it was out of stock. So I tried other Target Stores and had the same problem. The problem still exists. If Target is going to sell a product they should stock the accessory for that product.
