Great Little Camera,
By William E. Harrison III (Woodland Hills, California United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Polaroid Mio Instant Camera (Electronics)
I bought two of the cameras, one for my sister, and one for myself. Some of the reviews are really silly. The film is available. Sammy's Camera store in LA has plenty. All ten pictures work out of the pack. The camera is exceptionally easy to use and the pictures are sharp with good color. Also the camera isn't bulky at all. It is rather small. This is a fun camera. A great novelty for school, parties, social outings, etc. The only problem I had was with the batteries not making contact initially with the inner prong (which had to be pull-out a little). Other than that this is a great little camera.

small & cute,

Most of the time it takes good pictures. It seems every other picture comes out. For some reason the film pack says 10 exposures, but out of two packs I was only able to get 8 exposures per pack. But I love the compactness of it. And it's so cute. So far I've only seen it in Target stores, and they have marked them down after 2 months. I hope this camera will be around for awhile, not like the Handle Camera which I have also, without film.

i also had a difficult time finding film as well. this camera was purchased for me off of my amazon.com wishlist but at the time the film wasn't in stock. so i had to try to locate some and eventually did at a camera store. so far the photos i have taken outdoors have turned out the best and at about a dollar a photo i think i'll just stick to taking photos outside.

No Problem!,

This camera is wonderful! The picture quality is excellent, far better then the normal 600 series Polaroids. The colors are especially nice outdoors. The film is not too easy to find but can be found at camera stores and online. People saying that "only every other picture cones out" would have the same problem with any camera. Overall a nice addition to instant picture taking.

Film is difficult to find,
By A Customer
This review is from: Polaroid Mio Instant Camera (Electronics)
I bought this item as a Christmas gift and wanted to include several packages of film with it since I've heard it's hard to find (not to mention rather expensive).I had a really difficult time getting Mio film even after a week or two of searching online and in stores. It doesn't seem that the film is readily available, or maybe the Mio just hasn't caught on yet. In any case, although the camera itself seems pretty cool, the headache of finding film was reason enough for me to return it and gift an APS camera instead.

I haven't had any of the problems others had in buying film. Not only does Amazon sell the film on line, but all target stores carry the film as well. Every picture comes out really cute, and I get the full 10 exposures. The camera is a little bulky, so its not great for carrying around, but its fun for parties. The credit card size photos makes it an unique polaroid camera

Great pictures when it works...,

The camera takes really cute puctures when it works, but I only succeeded in making 4 pictures when it froze on me. The camera froze in the open position and could not be closed no matter what I did. I eventually tossed it because it gave me far more aggravation than pleasure. For example, turn it on and it stays on from 2 to 15 seconds, rather arbitrarily. You can set up a shot, and, boom!, the camera shuts down. Turn it on again and it fails to work. Shut it off, turn it on and then it might work (or not). I suspect the elecronics were not well thought out. Don't waste your money. This was an extermely frustrating experience for me!BTW: The manual, if one can call it that, is useless.

Polaroid Mio Film,

I love this camera. I think it's a cute idea and fun for parties, etc. I'm not really here to talk about the camera, but give some hope to those who like using this camera as much as I do. I used mine a few times and then discovered that both the film and the camera were not being made any longer. After sending Polaroid a nasty email I decided to research. I FOUND FILM THAT WILL WORK IN IT!!! Fuji makes the same format camera as the Mio, which they call the Instax Mini. The Film is available in Europe and Asia (not the US unfortunately - probably because of Polaroid) - but anyway.... I have found some online through shops and ebay (search internationally on ebay). I got some, tried it out and it works!!! It's the same film format and packaging! Keep buying the film from Fuji so they don't stop making it!!!!!!!

Great camera! I would highly recommend buying one. I purchased mine by mail order (from the US). Film is a little harder to find though. Takes great wallet size pics. Easy to operate.

Okay, the film for the camera is difficult to find in typical retails venues, but it is always available on Amazon, 24/7! You simply cannot resist the high quality, small instant pictures created by this little camera. The pictures are wallet sized, and simply adorable! My only criticism is that the camera itself is a bit bulky. Don't permit that little nuance to deter you from this hip, cute little alternative to typical instant photography. You'll be the 'Life of the Party' with this little gadget at your side.
