Product Description

Size: 67 mm

Polaroid filters continue the brand's long legacy of superior optical solutions. All our filters are carefully formulated to ensure consistent color and accuracy throughout the entire surface of the glass. Why? Consistent color means consistent high quality results. We know that a poorly made filter makes a great lens and camera worthless, that's why the our frame rings are constructed of special alloys that won't expand or contract over time or due to temperature extremes-it's also why we back our filters with an 10 year warranty-because we engineer them to last.

Like all Polaroid optics, Polaroid filters are precision manufactured to the most demanding of tolerances. This ensures consistent high quality results even after years of use."

This filter performs not only as advertised, but on the level of more "professional" filters in the higher price range. As advertised, it is definitely multi-coated, and you can tell right out of the box when you hold it up to the light. Like any good multi-coated glass, it easily attracts dust because of the coating, but is also easily cleanable with a microfiber cloth. It's no different than having anti-glare coating on your prescription glasses in that regard.

In performance, it works great in two fields - Outside, obviously, where it retains the sharpness of your lens, and often enhances it. Meanwhile it eliminates any lens glare, letting you take pictures in even the brightest scenery.

The other area I found is incredibly useful in is capturing performances that feature a lot of bright, florescent stage lighting. This filter really worked out all my kinks when it comes to capturing concert photos, helping you balance colors and get clear crisp shots without the frustration of stage lighting mangling your image. So even in low aperture shots this lens does wonders. I find it to be much more effective than a lens hood when used alone, although using both in conjunction isn't a bad idea either if you have a hood for the lens you're shooting with.

Definitely a must-have filter for anything from kit lenses to medium-high-end lenses. If you're shooting with the best of the best high end lens - Well, then I'm sure you already own the "expensive" filters out there. However, if you're sitting in the middle and neither a beginner nor financially well off enough to afford the excessively priced gear out there, the Polaroid Optics outperforms anything else in it's price range.

I was hesitate in ordering this compare with some $20 filter which already have reviews and confirmed that have multi-coated. I went ahead and ordered two for my Nikon 50mm 1.8f and 55-200m lenses. They are awesome at this price, I tested with my new d7000. Pictures came out perfectly, filter is multi-coated as advertised. You can see the green shade when you hold it up to the light and when shooting direct at the light, no ghosting.

Great value for the money, will buy again.

This is a standard UV filter. It appears to be performing just fine, although the glass is a bit loose in the frame, which is annoying, but does not impact the performance. OK combination of price and performance.

Well, I did not want to spend 50 bucks on a filter, so i took the risk and bought this and sadly I now have to photoshop the light-flares that this filter adds.

The alleged multicoating visibly compares in fact to plain and cheapest Hoya or Tiffen filters. One can see it easily by observing the amount of reflection in close compare to any quality filter, such as multicoated Hoya or B+W. Thus do not hope for a miracle here, you will get what you pay for.

I purchased a new Canon EF-S 18-135mm lens, so I wanted to protect the new lens with a UV filter. This one works great. I haven't noticed any ll effects on my pictures. Highly recommend.

Used this recently for a trip to Disney World. Bought it mainly to protect the more pricier lens behind it, and it luckily didn't effect picture quality too much. When aiming at bright light sources however, there is a very noticeable blueish glare. For the price and the intended purpose, you can't really go wrong with this 'filter'.

Polaroid UV filter fit very well to my 18-135 mm lens and provide god quality images. I used it in bright daylight at 2000 m altitude and provided very good quality pictures with my Canon 60d.
Recommended 100% to be considered a balanced ratio price to quality option.
