2.0 out of 5 stars cheap-o camera, January 30, 2005
By Sarah (Ohio) - See all my reviews
If you arent looking for anything great and you dont wanna spend a lot of money, buy this camera. But if you're looking for very good picture quality and camera reliability, don't. I got this camera for Christmas and although it wasnt the one I wanted I decided to keep it. First off, the flash is entirely too bright in low light settings and you're faced with washed out faces and poor color quality, I thought maybe there was a way to change it but I have been trying for over a month now with no luck. Second, the LCD screen is non existant unless you are in a very well lit room. Also, if you have the flash on you very rarely are able to take a picture with one touch of the shutter button, most of the time I'd have to push it 10 times or more before it would finally take the picture, which is not very fun when you are tryin to be quick about it or your picture subject is moving (cats, people, etc.) Overall I would recommend NOT to buy this camera. I'm not saying its the worst thing out there but you could spend 10 extra dollars and get the Kodax Easy Share. I'm planning on returning this waste of money and getting one myself because its a much better camera and the picture quality is awesome.

2.0 out of 5 stars For kids only, March 29, 2005
By James P. Rieker (Pittsburgh, PA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Okay, I only spent $23 on this (clearance at CVS), so I cannot complain too much. The picture quality suffers under all but the best lighting conditions. Putting some kind of filter over the strobe (I used Scotch tape and copy paper) produced some acceptable flash pix, but most of the objects in the center of the photo were washed out. The fun comes when you hand it to your seven year old taking little video clips (with sound at 10 fps). Shutter lag is substantial. None of my photos are sharp, and the colors can only be made pleasing by correcting in Photoshop. The LCD is small but reasonable. Battery life is okay. The pictures simply cannot compare to my Olympus D550, which is FAR superior with the same number of pixels.

1.0 out of 5 stars Junky!, June 21, 2005
By James Johnson (Dayton, OH) - See all my reviews
This camera is by far the worst camera I have ever had. The flash is way way way too bright. I had to rig the flash to get it dimmer. The shutter has some type of delay. If you want a camera to get a quick picture of your kids when they are doing something cute, steer clear of this one! You get what you pay for!

4.0 out of 5 stars For the price, it is a wonder. Does everything. Weight is about 8 ounces, under a pound. Very compact and light.
