We are on our second camera in three weeks and will need to return it as well. The camera has some sort of software bug that makes it suddenly stop taking photos and start cycling though the startup screen over and over again. We've had the same problem with both cameras. so it seems likely it is a design flaw rather than a strange problem with just one camera.

My son received this as a birthday gift and was really excited. Although the picture quality isn't so great, he had fun playing with it for about 15 minutes. He played a few games and seemed to be content with the camera overall.
However, when we tried to use it later in the day, the camera function would not work. It wasn't a battery issue because the game mode was just fine. My son played with this camera for a total of about 30 minutes and now it's broken.

This is the second camera we received that goes through a constant reboot cycle when you go to review the photos taken. Is it coincidence that both cameras did the same thing? Maybe. But we are going to try another camera. The flash whitewashes the close up photos, not making the photos is does take that desirable anyways. We bought it due to the larger megapixel camera.

Our 3 year old likes the camera, but we will have to try another one. Since its main purpose of taking and reviewing photos is useless, we will have to get one that works. Too bad because we wanted to give it a chance.

My 6 year old loves the games on the camera, but we've had trouble with the camera part. The flash whites out the whole subject when it goes off, and it's hard not to get a blurry photo. There's also quite a delay when snapping a pic. But the kids still thought it was cool until it started to reboot itself over and over. I see that other reviewers have had the same problem. The camera turns on, you get ready to take a picture, then it suddenly turns off and restarts itself. This continues until you just switch it off. The game part still functions fine, and we have fresh batteries, so it seems to be just a defect.

Son played with it for about 5 minutes -- then camera went into reboot loop. He had fun with it for 5 minutes. Will be asking for a refund.

#1 - Model isn't even shown on Polaroids tech support web site. Tech support line solid busy for hours of trying. (12/27)
#2 - Didn't they take one out of the box and try to play with it before shipping thousands out?
#3 - When it does work the focus and picture quality is awful.

Errr. My wife always checks reviews here before buying, she was busy and missed this one. Unless the product shipped to the people who gave good reviews was completely different (different factory or something) I have no idea how they could be happy or recommend this product. At this point I've invested about 3 hours trying to find a firmware update or get in contact with tech support. Way too much for a $70 dollar kids toy. Not happy.

I bought this camera for my son for christmas this year, and all i can say is thank-God we celebrated on the 24th. my son was ecstatic to get his very own camera. we got it open, and he went to take a picture on it wouldnt take a picture, so we had to push on the picture button lift up then push again and hold for 5-10 seconds before the picture would take--and that would be hopefully. so we tried out the games and hooked the camera up to the tv, only it wouldnt show up on the tv until i wiggled the tv connection---not a good sign to have to wiggle a wire on the camera to make it work, then you say oh your an idiot you must not have put the wire in all the way--it was we had to pull the wire half way out of the camera for it to work!!! the picture quality was nothing to steam on about. we took it back and bought another camera from a different store that works and takes great pictures.

The PIXIE worked well for about 20 photos then stopped working. Looking at the camera it had the
low battery sign. The batteries used were the ones from the box so I thought they may be low. New
ones ran out just as fast. A set of batteries would last about 15 minutes. I took it back and went to
another store and found a cheap 3.1MP camera for less than half the price. Would be nice to have the
games, but we would go through way to many batteries. I DO NOT recommend this until they get the
battery problem resolved.

This camera is terrible!! With brand new batteries it runs out after about 20 pictures. You can completely drain the batteries in under 30 minutes. AWFUL. The expandable SD card and games are a neat feature but that battery life is a killer.

"Santa" left this camera for my daughter and son. They have a great time taking pictures, but once it is "full", I put the pictures on the computer, and then I can't erase them from the camera. The camera says it is full, but playback tells me there are zero pictures. WE sort of solved the problem with a memory card we had lying around, but it still doesn't work well. ANd my son's ran down a set of lithium batteries in 2 days. I too tried to call tech support, but haven't been able to get through. And why can't they have a volume button on the games? I am very dissappointed in this camera.

After taking about 10 pictures, it died. Couldn't get it to take anymore pictures or review the ones that were in the camera. Finally hooked it up to the computer too see the pictures and they were actually good, decent pictures. You would not have known it from the LCD display (which seems very blurry both when reviewing pics and taking them).

I'm returning the camera tomorrow and will not get another one.
