These liners may work fine for folks whose feet generate some heat. Mine (over 50, thin)do not, so the simple barrier/reflection principle does not help much. I can definitely detect a slight difference when using these warmers in slippers inside or boots outside (northern Minnesota, so house and outdoors are cold), but it is slight. May work well for others. Since my feet don't generate much heat, only things that generate their own--Grabber Warmers, for example---seem to really help.

Immediate warmth,

These insoles are amazing. As soon as I put them into my fuzzy boots, the warmth increased by a tremendous amount. I even can turn down the thermostat a bit -- I never realized how much heat is lost through the feet, even in fuzzy boots. I'm getting a pair for my husband.
