The digital readout displays 1-degree increments with a range of 14 to 230 degrees F, or negative 10 to 110 degrees C (thermometer can be set to display either Fahrenheit or Celsius). An alarm sounds and a red light flashes when the desired temperature is reached. Charts included with the thermometer list the recommended serving temperatures for 26 types of wine, as well as various meat and egg dishes.
