Amazon.com Review
Wine connoisseurs picky about the perfect temperature of certain wines will appreciate this long-probe thermometer. The 8-inch metal probe fits handily into a wine bottle, which can then be placed in either warm or iced water to reach the exact desired temperature. Or, use the thermometer to test the internal cooking temperature of a large roast. The digital readout displays 1-degree increments with a range of 14 to 230 degrees F, or negative 10 to 110 degrees C (thermometer can be set to display either Fahrenheit or Celsius). An alarm sounds and a red light flashes when the desired temperature is reached. Charts included with the thermometer list the recommended serving temperatures for 26 types of wine, as well as various meat and egg dishes. A plastic sleeve protects the thermometer and clips onto an apron or shirt. Batteries included.

Product Description
Have you ever had a red wine that was overly chilled? The full, lush flavors were just about killed, leaving only the more acidic notes. Or perhaps a white wine that was not chilled and should have been, instead of refreshing it verged on sour. Wine must be served at its appropriate temperature, otherwise why bother? This handy digital thermometer and chart will ensure you get the most out of your wine tasting experience. It can also be used for large cuts of meat or poultry.
