Product Description

Amazon.com Review

Polder’s compact, Add’N’Weigh kitchen scale allows users to weigh consecutive ingredients without having to bother with removal between measurements. This convenient feature allows the home chef to streamline the recipe preparation process without sacrificing precision. Sitting low, the sleek gadget measures 7-1/2 by 7 by 2 inches and comes with an easy-to-read digital display. The body itself features plastic construction with a circular glass measuring platform. Maxing out at 6.6 pounds or 3 kilograms; the device measures in 1/8 ounce and 1 gram increments. Two lithium batteries provide power and are conveniently included with purchase. To clean, simply wipe with a damp cloth--avoid submerging the scale body in water. This product comes with Polder’s one-year warranty. -- Amy Arnold

5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job well, September 23, 2005
This review is from: Polder 935-90 Add'N'Weigh Scale, 6.6-Pound/3-Kilogram (Kitchen)
This scale does its job well. The display is easy to read, units are easy to switch, and it seems very accurate. If the Lithium batteries happen to run out, it comes with an insert so that either Lithium button cells or a 9V battery can be used. Definitely a good scale at a good price from a respectable company.

I had the same experience as the writer of the previous review. The scale seems to be fine but all its measurements are terrible. For example, it thinks a five pound bag of sugar weighs 2 pounds, 10 ounces. I'll look into returning it but I expect I will just throw it away.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Polder 935-90 Add'N'Weigh Scale, 6.6-Pound/3-Kilogram (Kitchen)
It took me a while to realize that this scale was not working. I set it up as the manual suggested and used it accordingly and was always amazed at how light everything was. I began to distrust it so finally measured something that I knew the weight of for sure and found that it was measuring at less than half the actual weight. At this point, it is too late to return it. I am online now shopping for a replacement.
