Product Description

Amazon.com Review

Forget constant checking to see if the roast is done—-with this metal probe in place, an alarm sounds when the desired internal temperature of the meat is reached. A 52-inch-long metal wire (the oven door closes over it) connects the probe to the base of the 3-in-1 tool, an elegant device with a curved base and securely attached 6-1/2-inch round glass scale. The scale weighs food up to 4 pounds, 6-1/2 ounces (2,000 grams) and digitally displays measurements in 1/8 ounce or 1-gram increments (a switch lets you choose pounds or kilograms, Fahrenheit or Celsius). A timer counts down from 99 minutes and 59 seconds. Push-button settings and a thermometer readout are located on the front of the device; a chart with USDA-recommended temperatures for various meats is printed on the back. The 3-in-1 tool requires a 9-volt battery (not included), and comes with a one-year warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

Product Description

It's hard to believe this relatively small contraption can do so much! A probe allows you to read the interior temperature of any meat you're cooking and you can even set the alarm to sound when the meat has reached the desired degree (if you're not sure what that might be, consult the handy chart on the base of the scale). A timer signals you when programmed cooking time has elapsed and as if that weren't enough, you can weigh anything up to 2000 grams in 1 gram increments (weighs in ounces as well).
