We purchased 2 of these racks - sorry to say they won't hold an adult-size tee shirt without scrunching them to get them to fit. It's great for other undies, and to lay sweaters out on. I'm sorry I bought 2 - the picture is accurate - you have to fold a towel to fit on the rack - no way to get them to dry! Simply not suitable for laundry except a little incidental hand laundry. We do like the sturdiness and slim folded dimension.

I was so excited to get this nice substantial drying rack. Too bad IT BROKE WITH THE FIRST USE. I used it to dry panties and socks, so I don't think I asked too much of it. It fit in my bathtub quite nicely. When all the clothes were dry, I went to fold it and take it out of the tub. ALL THE RAILS FELL OUT AND WOULD NOT GO BACK IN. I was hoping for a rack that I could put up and take down regularly. This is not the rack.

1) size
I was expecting a small drying rack from all the previous reviews, but I find it to be quite large. It was larger than my previous standard white plastic drying rack. However, the bars are more spaced out. I don't mind because I usually use 2 bars to dry things on the standard racks, and I can do with one bar here because they have a much larger diameter, so the two hanging sides stay separated. However, you can definitely fit more small stuff (underwear/bras) on the standard racks.
2) stainless steel = no rust = great for storing outside
If you dry your clothes inside, it's probably not the right rack for you. This is great for storing outside. We don't have much space inside, so we like to leave the rack on the patio. Helps that our climate allows us to dry clothes outside year round. Unfortunately, even in nice climate, most drying racks will rust and leave permanent stains on your clothes. On my old plastic covered standard one, the plastic cracked and the iron underneath rusted. This stainless steel one has been stored at the same spot for ~6 months and is still looking brand new. Love it!

Today, I dried my king sized sheet on this drying rack by draping it over the entire rack. It worked and now smells sun-sweet. It is perfect for drying outside in the summer and will fit in my laundry room all winter. I like the adjustable arms. It will fit the needs of our 3 person family. It looks and feels well-made. Worth it for us.

Light weight. Folds flat for easy storage/hanging. Easy to set up. Enough capacity for a large-ish load of laundry. This fits the bill exactly. A nice way reduce dryer usage and decrease your carbon footprint.

I purchased this dyer rack, as I had recently purchased what I thought was a similar one at our lake home in Canada. Here is the difference: 1. The supports for the wings are flimsy and if you slightly move the "wings" the supports fall, and thus so does everything else on the "wing" 2. the drying lines go horizontally across the "wings" - this means you can only hang something that is as wide as the wing - which doesn't even fit one of my husbands T-shirts without crinkling up one of the sides, let alone a pair of jeans - thus there really is not much drying space on this rack.

Having purchased a great one in Canada here is what you should look for in a drying rack - 1. supports that lock into place, and 2. drying lines that run lengthwise down the wings, which allows for much larger drying area.

I didn't look closely enough at these features before I purchased this one. When I went back onto Amazon to see if there were others, they all had similar small drying lines that ran the width of the rack, not the length, and of course its difficult to tell if the supports lock into place.

I will keep this one, as I took the packaging off, but if I ever find one that fits the above criteria, this ones going in the garage sale!

I thought this was stainless steel and could be used outside. Well, the rack was filled with rust spots by two weeks. I just contacted the customer service department and they are sending me a new rack. They said that the item can be used outside but should not be left outside!

We bought this dryer to use in our apartment.
However, its so badly built that it broke after 15 days of light use. We were only drying
our 1 month old's clothes.
