5.0 out of 5 stars Easier ironing!
I have a very old and very large ironing board that I use at least 3 times a week. I've had to replace the cover at least 4 times before. However, this is the first time I ordered one on the internet. I found this one just by searching several sites. This one looked like a good buy plus it was for heavy use. 1.0 out of 5 stars Not what I thought it would be
The layers they talk about are all thin and sewn in kind of crummy. When you put it on the ironing board they sort of bunch up internally so you have ridges all over the ironing board.
My second issue with it is that they say it has two 5mm pads, but the total thickness including the cover and lining is like 3-4mm. What a crock...I would say it's worth about five...

I have a very old and very large ironing board that I use at least 3 times a week. I've had to replace the cover at least 4 times before. However, this is the first time I ordered one on the internet. I found this one just by searching several sites. This one looked like a good buy plus it was for heavy use. When I received the cover, I was impressed with the quality of the product. Then I put the cover on my old board and the fit was perfect. But since then, I have used it many times and am very pleased. The padding is very thick and makes my ironing job so much easier. I am very pleased with my purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best, August 18, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Unbelievable: As a frequent ironer, (5 to 6 times a week, with a very hot iron) this is, without a doubt the best pad I have ever used. It fits my ironing board beautifully and lays nice and flat. But, even better than that; I have used the pad for about two months now, and there is not one single sign of even the tiniest scorch mark. Unbelievable - I have scorched ever pad I have ever used with in the first week of use. This pad is worth the extra money you will pay for it. ¬

I bought this ironing board cover to fit the super-wide Rowenta ironing board I had purchased about 4 years ago. That ironing board was a 49" x 18" board, and finding a replacement cover proved challenging. when I did a search for replacement covers for my board, the Polder IBC-9548-82 came up as one of the available items. On a guess I went ahead and ordered it.

This is a really nice ironing board cover. It is very thick with a nice felt lining, and has a very sturdy cover. It fit my board perfectly, and installation took less than 1 minute. I don't have to worry about it pulling up in the corners, or bunching up in the center. It seems to be built to be very durable, and my experience with it over the past few weeks has been without issue. It sure beats the cover that came with my original Rowenta board for sure. It makes that one look cheap and flimsy.

Highly recommended if you have this sized ironing board.

As usual, Amazon made the whole purchase to delivery experience painless. Thanks Amazon!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars 7 days a week - more than exceeds, April 13, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
As a business owner and someone who emplyees six people who press 7 days a week this replacement cover more than exceeds my expectations and that of my team. We manually press a minimum of 200 items per day and the old covers purchased at bedbathand beyond simply did not hold up as we would put a bath towel under the old iron covers within weeks of use. These replacement covers are solid quality and until I see someone step up and recommend something esle that I havent tried, this will be the only cover we buy/use. We wash these covers daily and they get real heavy usage and need no added support. My only wrangle with this thing is the replacement cover barely fits the extra wide rowenta iron board cover. A small price to pay or deal with when there is so much upside. Expecting it not to be as advertised I ordered double what I needed and these covers just keep on holding up after 3 months they look and feel like new. Darn it, I'm impressed. I'm not saying they are burn resistent but the oldcovers seemed to have alot of iron burns but these new covers so far not one iron burn mark. I find the price of these new replacment covers extremely fair and along with no tax and free shipping they are extremely cost effective.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the investment, December 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
So far so good. I have purchased several ironing pads in the last couple of years claimed to be heavy duty but failed the job for the amount of ironing I do. Several months ago I bought a Polder ironing board that can with a very basic pad. After looking at several ironing pads I realized that Polder has different pads based on usage. It seems like this one might handle the job. Product was cheaper on Amazon than through Polder.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!!, June 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have a Polder oversized ironing board that came with a very thin cover. I am a fanatical ironer, and have a Rowenta steam iron - the kind with the separate steam unit. This cover fits my board perfectly, has no wrinkles (?previous reviews?), and has reduced my ironing time dramatically. I am only sorry I did not know about the heavy duty style and buy it sooner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice ironing board cover, May 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is the heavy duty cover which includes the thick pad underneath. I highly recommend getting this one, even if you don't iron that much. It really makes the ironing job much easier. The cover with pad fits perfectly with elastic all around, and it stays put. Not crazy about the brown color of the cover, however, it will resist showing scorch marks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heavy Duty ironing board cover, April 4, 2011

This ironing board cover is everything it said it was. I did need to take off other covers to insure this one's fit.
I am a quilter and garment maker, the ironing surface is important! I recommend this product.

2.0 out of 5 stars The pad without much padding!, April 4, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I ordered this ironing pad & cover because it was from the same manufacturer as my ironing board AND because it indicated it was for "heavy use." It's got a very nice cover, but not very much pad! If this is what they consider for heavy use, I'd hate to see what the light use one is like! The pad is very minimal and when I iron, the grid marks from the board come right through and imprint on my clothes. I'm not very impressed with it and certainly wouldn't order it again or recommend it to others.
