Not worth the price tag,

I bought this dish rack because it is one of the larger ones out there, the extra pull out section, and the six cup holders. However, the piece has some serious design flaws that make it not worth the price. Number one, the rack is slightly angled, but the angle is not steep enough for the water to drain out on its own. Two, anything you put on the pull out piece underneath will drain right onto your counter tops, not into the sink. Three, the cup holders are not tall enough to safely hold tall dinner glasses, and are too close together so you can only really put three cups up at one time. Some other problems include the non slip mat which has many grooves and just invites bacteria to thrive there after about a week's worth of use. Also, the rack is only wide enough to hold plates on one side and cereal bowls on the other, though it claims it can hold pots and pans along with the plates.

I love the stainless steel rack and it is of good quality. The draw back is that I can't fit much into the small areas. The hooks to hand cups or glasses are very close together which means they are unusable. There is a space between the hooks and the dish rack which is wasted since nothing can be stored there. All in all I am a little disappointed in this product since it was so expensive. I will probably go back to using my plastic dish rack which is more functional.

It shouldn't be this hard,

It shouldn't be this hard to find a good drainboard. This is the best of the ones I have seen. It would be nice if it were 3" longer so that the bowls would not prevent one from placing dishes upright.

The worst design ever,

This high priced item is a heart breaker. Who would ever design a dish rack where small items are not corralled and are able to slip into a 100 pieces from the sides? I have lost heirloom, handwashed xmas mugs and just lost a valuable ceramic dish. The glass dryer is so shallow and unsupported that wine glassed just fall off into oblivion. I frankly am amazed this is still for sale. Give me rubbermaid and a dish rack with sides. I'm tired of sweeping up broken glass.

This product was more than I expected and good quality. The pull out mat for when you have more bulky dishes is great as it will protect my granite worktops from getting water marks. I bought this from Amazon US website and I live in the UK, delivery was supposed to be within 14 days but I got it about 4 days later. I looked and looked for something similar but to no luck, really happy with this purchase. Fantastic.

Besides all the issues that mentioined by Ana, the drying tray cannot fit under the rack like it shows in the picture. I have to turn it side way. Even the drain tray is about 1/2" bigger than the rack frame. I would assume the steel frame is made wrong. I wish I could replace this dish rack but I had thrown the box of it away. After all, it does look good at the kitchen if you are able to bear the defects that mentioned.
