nice rack with a major flaw,

This rack is nice and durable and I thought it was worth the hefty price, until the first bowl fell out. There are gaping open spaces right where small bowls should go. No wonder the picture shows it sideways to the drain mat.

Terrible design!,
This review is from: Polder KTH-615 Advantage Dish Rack (Kitchen)
This thing looks sleek and stylish with what sounds like good features, but it's absolutely awful! Here's why:
1. The sides are totally wide open! The edges are higher and wider than I thought and have nothing in between to keep things from falling out. Even after being really careful, I had a couple of things slip right through and ended up breaking my favorite mug! 2. The cup holders allow for 6 cups/glasses to be inverted to drip dry, but it's designed for cups with narrow diameters. I can't fit standard mugs there. Even some of my narrower glasses were still too wide to fit all 6 at the same time. 3. The cutlery holder is outside of the rack and hangs over the edge of the drip tray. It will occasionally drip onto the counter. 4. You would need to use the extra drying tray all the time if you have anything other than plates that will slip through the side and don't fit on the cup holders. So, instead of having the option to expand your drying area, it becomes a necessity. For something that doesn't work, this is very expensive. So, save your money and your dishes! Don't buy this!

Horrible. No side rails and thiings fall through all of the time. Already have broken 2 wine glasses. Poor, poor design. Trust me, save some money and frustration and buy another one.

I really wanted to like this dish rack. Nice stainless steel wire rack. Nice tray and accessory tray with high quality look. Nice arrangement of supports within the rack. Unfortunately, the quality of the rack's construction left a bit to be desired. After a single day of use one of the welds broke leaving a prong sticking out. The broken weld also weakened the structural integrity of the entire rack allowing it to distort a bit which caused the tray to pop loose from the rack. When this happened, the tray started to slide around under the rack which then caused the accessory tray to no longer slide/fit properly under the primary tray. In other words, one thing led to another which led to another which led to another ... I really did want to like the dish rack but ended up returning it. 5 stars for functionality - 1 star for poor quality control.

A must have rack, if you hate all your glassware!,

We bought this 6 months ago and have lost 4 glasses. There's nothing but a square wire frame on the sides leaving a 6 inch gap all around. There's nothing to grip the glass or anything else, so everything slides out the sides and onto the floor. This is a model piece for form, not function. The only reason why we haven't replaced this yet is that everything else is also junk for a ridiculous price. Not sure why dish racks have to cost $50. Try and find something better for less.

Excellent look and function. Couldn't ask for more for the price and didn't want to go to every dept store or hardward store to look for a decent rinse rack.
Great looking lines and the extra pullout glass tray is awesome.

Superior Quality Dish Rack,
This review is from: Polder KTH-615 Advantage Dish Rack (Kitchen)
This was a gift to me, when I began replacing plastics in my kitchen with stainless steel.
My weak, plastic model required a lot of washing to keep it clean. I had to use a scrubber to get deep into the crevices and get the stains off. This dish rack is a world away from my cheap plastic rack. It has sturdy, thick bars to contain the dishes securely. There are three draining surfaces to help dry dishes more quickly. The mat also secures cocktail glasses well. It has a utensil compartment on the side. The drainage tray is sloped to direct the drainage water int the sink. Cleaning this rack is so easy and it doesn't require much cleaning, being made of brushed stainless steel. It is more expensive, but as far as quality, function and cleanliness, it is well worth the cost, in my opinion.
