Product Description

Amazon.com Review

This retro kitchen dish rack looks just as cool next to an old fashioned sink as on an ultramodern poured-concrete countertop. Plates line up on the removable bent-wire top tier (there's room for 10), while cups and glasses find ample room to dry on the flat rack below. A rimmed bottom tray catches water underneath the dish rack. A three-compartment utensil holder attaches to the top tier. The whole ensemble is made of highly polished 18/8 stainless steel--no plastic to mildew--and should keep dishes drying for years. --Ann Bieri

1.0 out of 5 stars Too much money!, August 21, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Polder Stainless-Steel 2-Tier Dish Rack (Kitchen)
I searched for what I thought would be a great dish rack. This is without a doubt the worst product I have ever bought! There is nothing stainless about this! I have had it for only about 4 months and it is already rusting. It was so not worth the money I paid for it. I would not recommend buying this product.

1.0 out of 5 stars it will RUST and MILDEW, August 2, 2004
This review is from: Polder Stainless-Steel 2-Tier Dish Rack (Kitchen)
I find it hard to give this even a 1-star. Given the price, I really thought this would perform to the praise of the other reviewers. Here's why I am sorely disappointed:
1) the "stainless" steel does in fact rust and corrode
2) the rimmed bottom tray has no drains, no openings, so obviously no incline so water just sits and stagnates, and if you live in warm climates will in fact start to mildew
3) check your water softness, because if your water is too hard it will leave calcium and other deposits which require DAILY cleaning otherwise it will be very unsightly.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Design, poor Stainless Steel, October 23, 2007

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Polder Stainless-Steel 2-Tier Dish Rack (Kitchen)
This rack is very well designed, but the stainless steel does not have enough nickel in it, so it rusts. At first I thought it was just at the welds, but the wires themselves are now pitted and rusting after 6 months of use. The polished pan has no drainage lip, so the water sits in the pan, and dries, leaving a mineral deposit. It has to be cleaned frequently.
