I got this for my golden/lab for Halloween. She is 52 lbs or so and did not fit in it. I tried other dog costumes for her at the store in the same size and they fit fine. Unsure why this didnt fit. I'd say be very very careful when buying this.

We have a big puppy (140) and I bought this costume as it said XL. I do not think it was so. Also, seemed to be missing pieces (had no way of knowing as it was not in description or on photo). If one has a skinny puppy (like pictured) it might work. We tried to do just the hat since the costume did not fit, but even that was not right--the elastic was not enough to keep it on. We wasted our money.

I am very disappointed in the size of the Police dog Halloween costume. I bought the X-LARGE, but it does NOT fit my german shephard. Way too small. I even measured my dog, before I bought it.

I bought a large for my Australian Shepherd. The other costumes I have in large fit him just fine. The large fit my small 18 lb Shetland Sheepdog. But I didn't want it for her!!! My Aussie has bright blue eyes and I wanted a blue costume for him. I'm very disappointed.

Recieved this order very quickly in excellent condition. He is hard to fit but just had to take up a little in the hind quarters fits perfect. He is greeting the Trick and treaters now is his police dog costume.

OUtfit is very cute. But the XL will not fit a 100 lb dog. I could only use the hat. I would say your dog should be no more than 70 lbs for the XL. There are no bigger sizes for larger dogs.

The costume I purchased was excellent. It fix my pug well. She looks great in it. I escpecially love the handcuffs and walkie talkie. It really "makes" the costume.

A medium fit my Parsons Jack Russell, though it's a bit large. (She's the long legged version with a deep chest.) The belt is handy because it synched the costume so that it fit better. She has a deep chest and tiny waist, I don't think the small would have fit well.

It's well made for the price. The hat and accessories crack me up--I'm not the only one who laughed and doted on her. Unfortunately it gave her a complex and skulked around with her tail tucked in, she's not keen on all the attention.

This is a cute outfit.
The neighbors got a big kick out of seeing my dog in it.
While he didn't care much for the hat, he didn't mind wearing the outfit.

I just bought this costume for our husky. We planned to dress him in this outfit for the local halloween pooch parade, however even the X-large was too small! The shirt fit way to tight around the chest, and the hat is not made for dogs who have pointed ears. So we ended up with too small of a shirt and a hat that doesn't fit. We're looking for a new costume now. I would strongly suggest that if your dog is the size of a husky or larger do not buy. If you have a smaller dog I would suggest buying a size larger than you would normally need.
