The book is very well organized, covers several aspects of the police patrol division, and community policing issues.It is easy to understand the concepts discussed - as simple words are used. A very good reference book to have on hand.

This book was a very simplified version of the Iannone book. Because both books were on the reading list for my LT's exam, it was not as useful as it would have been if had not already read Iannone. It supports everything that was written in that book but with less detail and even uses a quote from Iannone in more than one instance. I do like the fact that it was written in a very simple manner so anyone could understand the point he was trying to get across. Overall, I thought it was okay but definitely no Iannone-Supervision of Police Personnel.
