5.0 out of 5 stars The Greatness of it all!
SWAT2 is sweet! It should be honored as the best game on the whole entire planet. Those who do not bow before the power of SWAT2 will surely be struck down by several lightnin... never mind that. If you dont like this game, oh well, i cant help that. But anyway, as I was saying, this is wonderful and I must say that it is easily the best game that I have ever seen...

2.0 out of 5 stars Swat 2 an o-kay game
Swat 2 was an ok game. You can't tell if the police are terrorists or not. The graphics aren't that good either. I would deafintly not consider getting this game, and the scenerios aren't that great either.

4.0 out of 5 stars A classic PC game + ABOUT BUGS, February 10, 2006
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Police Quest: SWAT 2 (CD-ROM)
About In-Game Bugs:
To the people who bitch about the bugs in this game: UPDATE IT YOU FOOLS! Goto the game maker's website and download the update. If you can't find it, do a search online for "SWAT 2 Updates" or something. Use Webcrawler.com instead of Google. Webcrawler is a META Search Engine, so what it does is it searches using a bunch of search engines including Google, Ask Jeeves, Yahoo, Altavista, etc etc and filters out the best results. Plus, it's been around alot longer than Google and doesn't contain any spyware unlike Google.

Anyway, back to the game. This is a classic game and continues in the tradition of Police Quest. The legacy continues even today with the popular hit SWAT 4 and the new SWAT 4 Expansion Pack. SWAT 3 was an amazing game and was even named Game of the Year. Infact, there are some elements to SWAT 2 and SWAT 3 that are even better than the current #4 title, such as in SWAT 2 you can play as the Terrorist and in SWAT 3 there was fantastic Multiplayer capability with excellent weapon/map mod/upgrades, as well as better Squad and Communications navigation and layout.

So, if you're into playing classic, fun games, then this is right up your alley. This game isn't old enough to be completely outdated and confusing or incompatible with your computer system.

I recommend buying the Police Quest Collection / Police Quest Compilation as well as this title.

If you dont like this game, oh well, i cant help that. But anyway, as I was saying, this is wonderful and I must say that it is easily the best game that I have ever seen. Such versatility! Play as either LAPD or the terrorists! Can you do that in SWAT3? I dont think so (although I may be wrong and if I am then go buy yourself a new hat). But you get the picture, this is a great game.

5.0 out of 5 stars swat 2, January 30, 2007

I used own this game LOOOOOONG time ago when I was like, in the 5th grade. The replay of this game reminds me that of Starcraft. I would play it to the ground, then stop for a few months, then play it to the ground again. I absolutly loved it. I'm actually writing to see if anybody's selling a copy. I lost my cd long ago and I really wanna play it now.... If anyone has a copy that WILL play with a minimum amount of scratchs, and no deep scratchs, THE THING HAS TO PLAY, I'll buy it for like, $0.0.0 bucks or somthin.

4.0 out of 5 stars It is a good one!, November 12, 1999

Although the graphics sort of look crappy, Swat 2 is a very fun game. I like the ability to be the terrorists. This game also has a very good plot. If you have Swat 1, buy this game. #2 has a lot more gameplay.Anyway this is totally different. The weapons are good, you control a whole squad and you can kidnap everyone you see in terrorist mode. Buy this game, you won't regret it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Police Quest: SWAT 2, November 27, 2011

This is an old school police simulation game. Players put together and equip a SWAT team to tackle different tactical scenarios and then play through the scenarios with control of every member of their team(s) individually or as a group. Some of the missions are fairly difficult, so it can be challenging for any level of player. The scenarios plots stay the same, but there is real replay value in the fact that the details change, i.e., suspect, hostage, and evidence locations. One thing I wish I knew before purchasing the game is that compatibility mode for Windows Vista does absolutely nothing for debugging the included map editor, and the videos between the scenarios aren't viewable due to their consisting of a large colored box (although the audio works fine). Even so, this is a great game with plenty of replay value, so I recommend it.Police Quest: SWAT 2

I'm running Windows 7 x64, and I was afraid I would never be able to find this game first of all... and then I thought if I could find it, it probably would not work. It turns out that this works with Windows 7. But for some reason it does not give me any sound. I tried to find a way around this, but no luck. But the game does work. It's just not as fun without sound :-(.

This game is very well laid out. The only drawback is the slowness cannot be adjusted, but that is to be expected in old games. It is lots of fun to play, and good training for thinking in the mind of a SWAT team.

5.0 out of 5 stars A real SWAT officers review, April 3, 2003

This review is from: Police Quest: SWAT 2 (CD-ROM)
I bought this game because i just wanted something that reflects on my work. I usually dont play video games so i was origionally planing on just buying it for my neice so she could see kind of what i do for a living. When i installed it into the computer i decided to play it a bit to see if it was what i really do. Well let me tell you this, i dont think it could get any more realistic. My neice is 14 and she plays it whenever she is at my house....she never really understood what i did for a living and now that she has played this game i think it pretty much summed it up for her.
