Well I sort of stumble onto this cd by accident after I heard anadivine's cover of Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, and since then listened to the rest of it, and fell in love.
1. Brandston - King of Pain: 10 out of 10 on this one. An amzing cover that I like more than the original song. Probably my favorite song on the cd. 2. Fall Out Boy - Roxanne: 10 out of 10. They speed it up and throw in some distorted guitar, definitely putting life into a played out song. 3. Motion City Soundtrack - Truth Hits Everybody: 9 out of 10. This is definitely another great cover, and I only give it 9 out of 10 because I've never heard of it before, and I listen to the police. 4. No Motiv - Synchronicity II: 10 out of 10. This one is just straight up amazing. They give it much more of an edge than the original, and the drums sound great. 5. Limbeck - So Lonely: 8 out of 10. When I heard this one for the first time I was kind of bummed out that a band with a faster punk edge hadn't covered it, because it definitely would have been great with a punk feel. However though, it's still a great cover, just more of an indie feel to it. It's growing on me. 6. Big Collapse - Next to You: 8 out of 10. This cover is sounds great, but almost like it should be in a pepsi commercial or something. I guess I don't really care for the song. 7. Maxeen - Murder by Numbers. 9 out of 10. Awesome cover and an awesome song, but not the best on the cd. 8. The Pale - Walking on the Moon. 8 out of 10. Good cover, yet I like the original better probably because the original has more of a beach/reggae feel, and this one is more indie. 9. Underoath - Wrapped Around Your Finger: 10 out of 10. I love this cover, and they did a really awesome job. The only part I don't really like is when the guy screams in the beginning. It's still bad ass though. 10. Anadivine - Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic: 20 out of 10. This cover is just amazing. Way better than the original. They were the perfect band to cover this song, because they really made it their own. 11. Watashi Wa - Message in a Bottle: 7 out of 10. The main reason I didn't like this one that much is that they didn't really put their own spin on it. It sounds as though you could play the original along with it, and they would both sound exactly the same. 12. Copeland - Every Breathe You Take: 10 out of 10. Their version of this song is kind of depressing, yet so well done that you can't really knock it. It also has a real spacious effect that really makes it memorable. Overall the cd as a whole is definitely worth 5 stars, because there are just too many awesome covers on it. The only part that sort of dissapointed me was that nobody covered Spirits in a Material World, which definitely would have sounded awesome. Maybe if the do Policia II it will be there.

Well, if your a fan of the police or sting....you will apreciate this album. Although not all the songs have they're "own spin," they all did excellent on creating the sound of the police. The past reviews did a good job on rating every song, i dont have complaints.... other than... the cover for "wrapped around your finger" is one of the best songs on the album, it shows an amazing amount of originality, although the lyrics are the same, it manages to be a differnet song. You dont have to be into Underoath's genre to like/love this song, you only have to be into the police. If you listen to the song, at first it wont catch, you probably wont like it. Give it some time... put it on repeat...after the fifth listen, you'll be hooked.
