Beware of their tactics. The police of Sanibel will attempt to become your friend and as soon as you turn to leave on what you believe are good terms, their discretion waffles and the promotion seeking snakes strike. I've known plenty of professional police with integrity in same towns across the county but never truly ran into "Barney" until I moved to Sanibel.
