I am extremely pleased and excited about this book.primarily because I am of Polish origin,and also that my late father served with the Polish Air Force in 1939,before eventually making his journey to England and continuing the war serving with No 304 Polish Bomber Squadron RAF.I know some details of his service record in the UK,but nothing of his time during the short conflict in September 1939.You can imagine my amazement when I turned over a page,and saw a picture of a group of airmen in Polish flying suits in October 1938,from the 2nd wing,22nd Squadron and there was my Dad among the group.This alone to me makes the book a treasure,but I'm 25% through reading it and it is fascinating reading,an invaluable work,and a great testament to all those brave young people it describes within.
