4.0 out of 5 stars Letters from Poles, March 27, 2010
By
Tom (Rochester, NY United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Polish Peasant in Europe and America: A CLASSIC WORK IN IMMIGRATION HISTORY (Paperback)
This book is an abridged version of Thomas and Znaniecki's oft-cited classic five-volume work. The authors use actual letters from Polish peasant immigrants to their families back home to convey a sense of their lives and what motivated their behaviors.

There's only 127 pages but those who enjoy Polish immigrant history will appreciate this book very much.
