I purchased this book about 10 years ago, to supplement my two daughters devotional/life skills home school curriculum. We did not complete the entire book, there is really no need. It is quite versatile, meaning that you can choose chapters based on your specific needs. Within each chapter, there are assignments for girls based on their age; and quite a choice. My husband and I would assign a lesson based on a struggle our girls were going through. They would then help us choose a particular assignment that was age appropriate. They would work on their assignment throughout the week (very small amount of time.) Then we would spend about 1/2 hour with them at the end of the week to discuss results. We would never make it an accusatory session, just a very frank talk of improvements we could all make. Our daughters greatly enjoyed the program and employ many of the skills they learned. (i.e. my oldest daughter and budgeting, my younger daughter (19) in her "courting" with a young man and setting boundaries!

Just started working through this book. Maybe I'll give an update once we've used it for a while. So far, however, my five year old is SO loving working through this. It's not just a devotional, it's also a manual on how to teach your daughter the basics of keeping house and home. I love how educational it is, she loves the one on one time. She practically begs for me to do this with her. We've just opened the Ruby Doll kit and she's so excited about sewing the Proverbs 31 woman, making her family, and learning about her role as mother and wife.
