I read this book to prepare for the "Europe Since 1945" DSST. Urwin's book is excellent for that exam.Urwin gives what struck me as a very balanced account of European political history. His writing style isn't too dry either. The content is well- chosen and organized, though it does take a while to get through the book. Overall, an excellent read. It gave me a better understanding of the workings of Europe and helped me score well on the corresponding DSST. |
