The third book finds Hope, with the help of his wife, ebarking upon a politcal career. Trying to stay focused and do the right thing is almost impossible.
He manages to come up against an utterly ruthless and malign opponent that will stop at nothing, including the 'accidental' deaths of his rivals to get in his way. The ending of the book is a fitting outcome for such a strong character as Hope Hubris.
