From Booklist

Haley gathers 12 medical outsiders' stories to support his theory that the AMA, FDA, and big pharmaceutical companies conspire to prevent new ideas from entering medical research and practice. His subjects include Andrew Ivy, who advocated the discredited anticancer drug Krebiozen; anticancer herbalist Harry Hoxsey; anticancer blood researcher Gaston Naessens; and antineoplastin researcher Stanislaw Burzynski. Those persecuted medical investigators are fairly well known, but some of Haley's other cases concern forgotten men like William Koch, developer of the antipolio drug Glyoxylide, whom many may find more interesting because of their obscurity. The stories of all 12 are often absent from current medical histories, which alone makes this book worthwhile. Haley's thesis that many of his subjects were victims of organized medicine, however, remains unproven. Moreover, his assertion that at least five of the 12 should have been Nobel laureates strains credibility, and the implication that the AMA controls the decisions of the Nobel committees seems dubious. Let me start by saying I knew Dr. William Fredrick Koch very well, went to Brazil in 1962 to spend time with him, and brought back to Canada some of his formula which was used to cure a number of people of cancer. I also knew many of those valiant doctors who used his treatment to cure their patients of various diseases, cancers, polio, heart conditions and many more. Every doctor who used his material was ridiculed by the medical establishment as a quack and a charlatin, some had their licenses to practice lifted, while at the same time they had cured hundreds of people of incurable conditions. I met Dr. Andrew C. Ivy, knew of his research on Kebiozen and in later years met the lady who had recorded and kept the data on that work. Met the son who had taken his mother to see Dr. Ivy after she had been given up to die with advanced cancer, she was cured and lived for many more years. Dr. David H. Arnott of London, Ontario Canada, who worked very closely with Dr. Koch, became a close friend of mine, after he supplied Dr. William Setka, of Prince Albert, Saskatchewn, with Glyoxylide (Dr. Kock's formula) which cured me of inoperatable cancer. I have purchased some of the devices invented by Dr. Robert Beck, described by Haley in his book, and they work as described. I am familiar with the work of the department of agriculture, Province of British Columbia, Canada, in researching the use of Dr. Kocks formula, for use in teating animals and it worked, it cured them of all diseases. Many Vets were excited about this, one I came to know was a Dr. Fred Barten, who over a number of years had succesfully treated donzens of animals. I hope that those who read Daniel Haley's book "Politics om Healing" will realize what an immence amount of careful research went into producing this works.Read more ›

Daniel Haley's book, "Politics In Healing", reveals a deeply disturbing portrait of agencies and organizations created to protect the health of the American People actually contributing to their unnecessary death. By embracing toxic chemotherapies and radiation therapies that are known to be carcinogenic, despite little proven success over the last fifty years in curing and preventing cancer, while actively supressing research and objective clinical trials on extremely promising non-toxic therapies, The National Cancer Institute (NCI) and United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA) indirectly kill more people each week than the almost 3,000 people who died on September 11 2001 in the World Trade Center and Pentagon terrorist attacks.
On the surface this book documents twelve different non-toxic therapies that showed anecdotal or clinical benefit in slowing or reversing cancer. The discoverers and early advocates of each were persecuted and the therapy suppressed. The book really documents a cancer in our medical and government bureacracies that needs to be exposed to the killing radiation of public scrutiny and legally prosecuted for any duplicity and fraud it has perpitrated on a trusting and unsuspecting American People.
It is fairly well known that approximatley 10,000 people die each week in the United States from cancer. It is less well known that over 3,000 Americans die each week from FDA approved prescription medication prescribed appropriately and taken according to instructions. That is over four times as many people as died on September 11, 2001 each and every week.

No words can justify this amazing book. Daniel Haley has done an absolutely phenomenol job of painting a true and accurate picture regading the past and present of traditional medicine and the suppression of innovation and advances in medicine. I challenge anyone to pick up this book and try and put it down after reading 15 pages. Some say that the two largest industries in the US are crime and medicine. Others say that these two industries are the one and the same. After reading Haley's book, and from my own experience as a physician heavily involved in research as well as treating patients with cancer and heart disease who have failed conventional therapies, I can say that Daniel Haley, if anything, understated the truth. A must read for all who seek the truth in medicine and especially for all doctors, regardless of their medical field of interest or their current status/position in their respective careers.

Pay no attention to Amazon's capsule review above. EVERY CANCER CURE DESCRIBED IN HALEY'S BOOK, AS WELL AS ITS CAREFULLY CRAFTED SUPRESSION, IS DOCUMENTED IN METICULOUS AND CONCLUSIVE DETAIL! This is not the rantings of some whacko as your own doctor or government official might try to "sympathetically" inform you. The evidence is there--from personal letters between top medical university researchers, to testimony before Congress: you are systematically being deprived of the means by which to save your own life! Haley should be awared the nation's highest tribute as a true American patriot and a national hero. Read this book and decide for yourself. You will never think about our health care system the same way again.
