This review is from: The Politics of Usability: A Practical Guide to Designing Usable Systems in Industry (Practitioner Series) (Paperback)
It's an old book but still, everything is accurate.
For all usability specialists that believe in a perfect world and have the feeling that they can't do their job without explaining "what can i do", "how to do it", "why doing it".... Usability is essential but sometimes, people believe that having an usability expert inhouse is just enough. That's wrong, the specialist needs to invite end users, run test, have some time to design products (to save time later)... And this book explains how to place yourself in the organization, how to argue, how to find a good job with a attentive manager... Excellent |
