This book is intended for undergraduates in Gender and Women's Studies courses.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"A very eye-opening look at one of the biggest problems facing society today. Readers will come away from the book with a mix of anger, frustration, and some optimism."--Robert Langran, Villanova University

"The Politics of Women's Bodies is extraordinary. It took my breath away. It's a stunning and powerful array of some of my favorite pieces, plus several I had not known about. It is perfect for my introductory women's study course and I am already looking for other courses where I can also include it." --Mary F. Rogers, University of West Florida

"'Wow!' and 'It's about time!' This is an amazingly accessible and thorough introduction to issues of body image across race, sexual orientation, and generational lines."--K. Springer, Emory University

"Excellent writings!"--Rebecca White, Brescia University --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
