Built for use with all Polk RM series compact satellite speakers, the custom-designed SA-2 stands are remarkably easy to use. Simply pop the RM speaker onto the keyhole post, snap it downward to catch the speaker's keyhole slot, and you're done. No screwing into speakers, drilling into cabinets, or fussing with Velcro, tape, or bolts. Once installed, the nonadjustable stands position the speakers at the ideal listening height (40 inches) for music and home theater applications. The orientation, which is roughly where most listeners' ears hover when seated on a sofa or chair, ensures that people enjoy the full audio sound stage every time.

Each SA-2 stand is made of high-quality metal for maximum durability, with a concealed wire path in its tube riser that hides the bulky speaker cable from view. And listeners needn't worry about knocking over a stand thanks to the thick single-pad base, which measures 12 by 8.5 inches (oval).

Though the stands work with all compact RM series loudspeakers with keyhole slot mounting systems (and many non-Polk models as well), Polk recommends using Sanus EF or DF series stands for larger speakers, such as the RM7500/7600 models. The SA-2 stands come in a black non-glass powder finish that nicely complements all black, white, titanium, and pewter-finished speakers.

This pair of stands is not height adjustable(though the height is well chosen) and the stand tube is oval with a hole just behind where the speaker attaches and again at the base so you can hide the speaker wires in the shaft of the stand.

No screws or bolts come with this item so if you didn't receive or save ones you had with your speakers you will need to purchase those.

The base is very heavy and solid so there are no worries about them tipping over, and the base is not adjustable either so the picture shows the only orientation that is possible; you cannot rotate the shaft on the base.

I highly recommend these speaker stands. I also purchased the RM6880 home theater system. These stands are made for the RM system and include all the hardware you need. The speakers sound best at the height preset by the SA2 stands. The packing material was way beyond what I expected so my stands arrived with no damage. Definitely a high quality product.

I got these black stands and put them together in less then 10min and they are weighted at the bottom and hides the speaker wire nicely. The wire is a little difficult to run up inside but no problem there with a high gauge of wire. I have three cats and I worried and my girlfriend thought they would be knocked over. It's been 2 months and hasn't happened once. When we move and i can't hang the back two speakers on the wall I'll buy another two for the back hopefully i get them at a fair price. They don't have any chips of paint off anywhere and look new, I can only hope for a very long time.
