As a stereo buff and someone who takes pride in his equipment only buying the very best I can afford. Which required a lot of research. I have the top of the line high end sony and 7.1 bose in my home theater with additional 12" infinity 300w powered sub. So when I came across these speakers I was skeptical to say the least espically at this price. once I got them and hooked them up the sound was incredible. I was so impressed I ordered 2 more sets with 2 satilite polk to make the 7.1 complete in my master bedroom.

At this price point there is nothing out there that will meet or beat the quality or preformance of these speakers.

I bought these speakers on December 21st when I saw that the seller, Electronics Expo, would ship it by December 24th. I was flying to Orlando on the 24th so I entered the Orlando address. It was great to see, when I checked in at the hotel, that the package was there! As for the quality of the speakers, I had spent a couple of weeks reading reviews and checking forums on-line. I even became a member of a forum and posted questions to learn things about speakers. I then decided to buy this set of Polk Audio speakers and I have to say that I am very satisfied with my purchase.

In summary, excellent service from the seller, unbelievable price (US$209.99), and very high quality speakers. Very happy with my purchase.

The Polk Audio RM6750 5.1 system is pretty good, considering how much you pay for it. It produces pretty good sound, but it's not going to compete with the higher end speakers from Boston Acoustics, JBL, Cerwin Vega, or Definitive (at this price point it's not supposed to). Sometimes the sound can seem a little hollow and thin, but I'm comparing them to my Definitive 1000 setup (which is amazing by the way). I use the Polk system almost purely for my console gaming, and I must say there have been times when the sound was astonishing, especially while playing Killzone 2 and Gears of War. The explosions and rat-tat-tat of the guns was almost bone jarring.

I have the system connected to my Denon AVR-391 receiver and everything sounds good (Avatar on blu-ray, Dead Space on the Wii, etc.). The subwoofer is 100 watts, which means it can pump out some bass while not totally blowing you away. It's a front firing woofer, so it doesn't really rattle the house like a down firing woofer can. I will say that it feels solid with no vibration in the case itself. If you are on a budget and want some good surround sound speakers, you would do well to get the Polks. If you're even a little bit of an audiophile you'll want to pass on these.
