Polk Audio's R Series bookshelf loudspeakers are perfect for building starter systems, or for small room or multi-room applications. Easily driven by a modestly-powered amplifier or receiver, the 100-watt R15's highly efficient design provides open, spacious, and clear sound and is voice matched for lifelike surround sound environments.

For clear and detailed high frequency response and realistic reproduction of vocals and instruments, the R15 uses a .75-inch silk/polymer composite Dynamic Balance dome tweeter. High efficiency, excellent bass is courtesy of a single, 5.25-inch mineral-filled polymer composite Dynamic Balance driver that is lightweight and stiff with good damping for lower distortion. Dynamic Balance technology produces flat frequency response, sharp detail, transparency and an ability to play program material with wide dynamic range at life-like volume levels without a hint of strain. The sound is always clean, clear, and effortless. Deep bass notes are further enhanced by the speaker's front-mounted bass port.

A five-way binding post connector allows for secure hook-ups and a built-in keyhole slot allows for fast and easy wall mounting. Plus, the speaker is magnetically shielded for safe placement on or near TVs and video monitors with no risk of distortion.

Excellent sound and I'm not even through the break in period yet, I'm using an ancient Onkyo amp, and they are playing 128kbps without any major distortion unless turned up 3/4 or more. I think since I only have 50 watts going to the speaker this is excellent. I highly recommend these little things.
