By stacking, mixing and matching the the different Designables Mall Shops, girls can create the perfect shopping destination. And the Polly Pocket Designables Mall Shops really light up, simply by attaching them to the Designables Courtyard, or to another shop connected to the Courtyard. My five year-old recently got this set from Grandma and she absolutely loves it! The material is made from thick, durable plastic - it looks kind of flimsy in the picture but was it actually has very good build quality - meaning, I expect it to last for several years. You can either stack the sets vertically or attach it next to the main mall. Also, when you put some of the sets together, all of the rooms light up up e.g. dance studio which is pretty cool. It comes with tons of accessories including an escalator (you crank it), 6 Polly Pocket dolls, and even a gum ball machine (with tiny little gum balls that you can shake)and a basketball hoop. It is sure to provided hours and hours of entertainment for your Polly Pocket fan. I think she paid $69 which seems like a great deal since the individual rooms sell for over $20. The only other thing I might purchase is one of the cars for the dolls...otherwise, it's pretty much a COMPLETE SET !

This is a cute set and all the little items are very detailed. There are many shops with shoes, handbags, sports, etc. My granddaughter loves it. The only problem is that the items don't stay inside the little shops very well and they are balanced well enough to stand on their own. In fact, the Polly Pocket dolls won't stand behind the counters without falling. When on falls, all the little dress-up items for the shops fall too. It's quite a mess. A little extra attention to balance and use would have made a major difference in the product.

My child's first looks on this brought mile wide smiles - my first looks did not. When purchased through Amazon.com, each section had come individually wrapped in plastic bags. No box, or pictures to refer to. The large escalator piece is the only one that came with paperwork, revealing that the Polly doll was missing from that set. Other missing pieces were made evident from my online searches of pictures for the other pieces (aggravating). The cardboard backs to the individual pieces don't all sit in their tracks well (& are very flimsy). But, yes, my child thinks the world of it.
