I got this for my 4 year old and was a bit worried after reading the reviews that it wold not hold up. She has been playing with it for HOURS for the last few days and it holds together great. She loves it! You can even pick it up by the bar on top and move the whole thing from indoors to outdoors, etc. The pool and accessories are great water fun. For the price it is a great find.

So this toy is a lot of fun when it is put together, providing you can get it to stay together. A few of the parts are flimsy and come apart easy. The mermaid that comes with it changes color in water really well, and my daughter loves playing with her. She gets frustrated with the rest of it because it tends to fall apart while shes trying to play with it. Overall, not a bad deal for the ten bucks I paid for it. Wish it came with more than one mermaid though.

Bought the Polly Pocket Race and Splash playset at the Target after Christmas sale for under $7 for my daughter's 4th birthday. She is just now starting to like playing with the Polly toys and thought it would be nice to have an activity set to play with. The instructions could have been bigger and a bit more detail. But there is no question where each piece will go, so you can't screw up assembling this set. Assembly took about 10 minutes with my daughter's help. Some of the reviews on Amazon said that they couldn't keep the slides from coming off. They were not assembling it correctly. There are 2 spots that you need to snap in place to old the slides on. I put a hand towel down underneath the set since it holds about 2-3 cups of water. Good idea since you will be taking wet Polly and mermaids out of the pool. The set has a few surprises in it. The top of the castle has a trap door. So when someone slides down one of the 2 slides, the door opens and the animal you placed on top falls into the pool. There is also an area on the wave in the back that will toss a Polly or animal into the pool. Over all a great toy for the money. I also like that there are not a lot of areas in it that will hold water and get moldy. Only the pool needs to be dried off and any splashes onto the rest of the toy

This is a great little gift for a girl.... My daughter loves to play with this item in the bath. Would recommend to others as well :)

Great buy on here, couldn't believe the price. My daughter loves it. Does require assembly of everything, but didn't take too long. I bought another mermaid to go with it, but doesn't color change nearly as much as the one with the set (few spots on tale and that was it). The Polly Pocket one changes many colors and her whole tale and all her hair changes. Best thing to do is have warm water in the pool and have a cup of ice water near the pool for more exciting color changes. Couldn't not believe how it color changed...awesome. Only bad thing is the little drinks that come with the set don't stand up cause the bases are too skinny for the tops of the glasses, but those usually don't get played with anyway.

Its an okay toy...but unlike the other polly with soooooo many small teensy weensy extras this one has not that many which made me choose this one over the other ones and can't beat the price!!!

This is one the best PP sets we have ever gotten. The kids love it and while water is a integral part of the fun it doesn't use so much that it's an issue if it gets spilled. The characters change color as advertised, all the moving parts work properly, and it's got enough going on to keep a couple of kids entertained for quite a while. You can dunk Polly in the pool; there's a cool trap door; and the slides and swing actually work.

It also comes with the obligatory stuff that you'll suck up with the vacuum cleaner in a few days. But, she's a mermaid, so no shoes.

Gave this to my daughter for Christmas and she loves it!! And so does her friends!!!!! Great gift for any girl who likes to play with Polly Pocket. It was wasy to put together and it appears sturdy enough

This was fun at first but would not stay together and my daughter cut her hand on the slide when it came apart. Do not buy this toy as it is not worth the money. My 7 year old suggests, "This toy should be superglued together."

This was a gift for my daughter's fourth birthday. Although it wasn't one of the things she asked for (all she really wanted was a pogo stick!), it ended up being the present she was most excited about. She and her eight year old sister couldn't wait to take it into the hot tub with them. They have spent hours playing with it - allowing their little imaginations to run wild with Polly pool parties! It is durable - the slides come off sometimes, but they go right back on. With the great price offered on Amazon, this gift can't be beat!
