My sexy husband has been smelling like Polo for the nineteen years we have been married. He has tried other scents (usually samples I bring home from the fragrance counter), but he always comes back to this old favorite. He especially likes the deodorant stick because it has the Polo scent he loves, and is effective but not overpowering. He has sensitive skin, and drugstore deodorants and antiperspirants often cause him to break out. But this stick has never given him any problems,

Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez, in their fabulous book, Perfumes: The Guide, describe the scent of original Polo as "dry oakmoss," give it four out of five stars and rave: "Polo has a relaxed, expansive feeling in a comfortingly conservative way, like short hair combed neatly in a straight side part on a fellow otherwise charmingly shabby. No wonder some men have worn it all their lives...this stuff smells fantastic."

I don't know about the shabby part, but my husband is charming, and he has worn this scent most of his life, and I love it.

The only drawback I can think of is that the stuff is a tad pricey. The good news is that it's cheaper online than at the department store, especially if you buy several sticks at the same time to save on postage charges. Be sure and check out the sets, and compare the prices of the different sellers. Some will offer specials and deals on sets containing deodorant sticks at certain times of the year. The deodorant and the cologne or after-shave together make a nice gift.

I have been using this deodorant for about ten years and it is really a good product. The price may seem high, but it lasts forever; one stick will last for 4-6 months. It's very hard to find and I'm glad Amazon Ahas decided to stock it.

My husband and I like other reviewers were happy to find this item for sale on Amazon.com because it appears that it is discontinued; it isn't available in stores anymore and Ralph Lauren doesn't show it available on their website, even for back order. This is the 2nd time we've purchased from Amazon and AAA Merchants. The first time the product was borderline this time it was definitely old. When the alcohol in the deodorant evaporates with age the stick itself gets much smaller and shrinks away from the inside edge of the aplicator; which is what we saw with the 2 sticks we just received.
We had no complaints as to delivery time or anything improper regarding AAA Merchants except that they are selling old product. Since there is no expiration date it is likely the vendor isn't even aware the product is old so we wanted to share this information with anyone who is considering buying the product. We believe that we would find the same issue with a purchase from any vendor at this time because any Polo Deodorant that is out there for sale would have to be as old if not older than what we just recently bought.

My husband has used Polo deodorant for years but something has happened. When we order this from the Amazon supplier they were unable to fill the order after two weeks and refunded our money. We then went to a big box store and got two tubes of Polo deodorant. When we got home we found that they both had dried up and were no good. We went back to the store and they went through their whole stock of Polo deodorant before they could find just 1 tube that was almost ok. Watch out it looks like they have made a change that lets the deodorant dry up.

when the store where my dad would buy his deodorant stopped stocking this product, we turned to Amazon, and now we won't look anywhere else. This is way cheaper than retail, and you get the same stick of Polo. If you love this deodorant, and you're not in a rush to buy it, get it here, it'll save you some dough.

Even though it did not say Polo Black, the picture looked black and so I thought I was buying Polo Black instead of regular Polo. I am extremely disappointed.
