Received my copy today. I preordered & got it for the price of $29.99

It comes with a total of 11 discs. 2 episodes per disc. There are some issues about this: (1) the episodes are out of order, (2) all the episodes are listed on the back of the box, but you don't know what is on each disc, I made a list so I will know, (3) one episode titled The Choice is missing. It is listed on the box, but is not on any disc.

I have scanned through all of them & the quality looks good to me. I did not know anything about MOD so I had concerns about the quality, but everything I see looks & sounds good.

I hope seasons 3 & 4 will be released also. I don't understand the price jump, but if it does come down I think it is worth purchasing.

Received the replacement DVD of the new inventory.

All 22 episodes are included & they are in order.

There is still 11 discs with 2 episodes each. Discs 1-4, 5-8, 9-11. It still does not say specifically what is on each disc, but all the episodes are listed on the back of the box.

I am THRILLED to finally have an official release of POLTERGEIST: THE LEGACY Season 2 after waiting well over a decade for it to come out. The set came nicely packaged in three separate DVD cases. The artwork on the front cover of each case is as shown on Amazon and includes "Discs #-#" on the cover and spine. Each DVD-R disc has the same MGM logo & background from the cover and is labeled with the title of the series and the disc number. I pre-ordered the set when it first became available on Amazon and got it for $29.99 + free shipping.

As Jay & Jill's previous reviews mentioned, The Choice (#22) is listed on the back cover of each box but it is not on Disc 11 with Mind's Eye. Since The Choice is mostly flashbacks to previous episodes, we're not missing that much.

I'm one of the lucky ones who pre-ordered this at $29.99. Jill Moody's review is right on. The episodes seem a bit grainy at times, but I think that's purposeful---- to add to the mystery of the show. The episodes are indeed out of order and my disc #11 is also missing "The Choice" episode, but I think Amazon and MGM will probably make it good. I sent them an email and will let everyone know how things stand. But frankly, with the exception of the missing episode, I'm pretty pleased with the set.

ADDENDA 3/8/10: I talked to someone in Amazon's MOD department and he said they had read the reviews on the sets problems. They said they would definitely contact the company that manufactured this set and ask for a re-do. How long that will take is anyone's guess. But I've always believed in the "bird in the hand" philosophy and will keep my set until the problem is solved.

When I got Season 2 of Poltergeist The Legacy.
The episodes were out of order and the last episode was missing.

The manufacturer and amazon.com sent me a replacement with the episodes in the correct order and all the episodes were there.

The problem has been corrected and no one should have any worries about buying this set.

I hope they release season 3 soon.

Like many others I have waited a very long time for Poltergeist The Legacy to come out on DVD. Especially since it was rarely to never coming on TV, then Chiller picked it up. To all of us loyal PTL fans, the show on DVD is a collectors items. Not only that, we get to watch it when we have time in our busy schedules. I give it 5 stars because it is PTL and the quality of the video and audio is good. The cover is not that bad, but it is also nothing like the first season. Mine came with 3 to 4 DVDs in 3 cases that were individually wrapped in plastic and the packaging was good, kept it frm getting damaged. Along with the one episode missing and the fact they were out of order, there was no list of episodes that came with it like in season one where the episodes were on the back of the cases along with which disc they were on. Season 1 had a box the disc cases could slide into, season 2 did not. Hopefully, the rest of the seasons will follows with no typos, the episodes in order with a list of what they are and a convenient case(box) for them to slide in to. The price for me was a good one since I preordered.

Like so many others I am a huge fan of this show and am thrilled to have the first two seasons.I guess I got lucky though as I didn't order the second season until after the corrections were made. I fail to see however why so many are complaining about the price. Yes it is high but that old saying applies here, " You Get What
You Pay For ". I paid the higher price and got quality.I keep seeing reviewers saying they won't purchase until the price goes down while in the same breath complain that it's taken so long for seasons to be released. Do these folks not understand that by refusing to purchase or as some have suggested boycotting just means no release at all? I'm not fond of high prices either but to me it's worth it to get the product.
This second season has brilliant color and most of the episodes run seamlessly so that they play like a mini-movie instead of seeing where the commercials were. It's also nice to see that the episodes are unedited in that needed dialouge is still there to explain what is being said and why, television cuts dialouge in order to put in commercials so that far too often we're left to wonder, just as movies are cut to fit in a time frame, meaning the most important parts are removed and we see the buthered version until we buy it on dvd and actally see what the film is all about. If you are truely a fan of this show and want seasons 3 and 4 released then go ahead and buy, you won't regret it.

the show realy hits it's stride in the second season! I was sorry that there wasn't more episodes!! I want season three now I just can't get enough! well done myths and legends you name it you see it! great show.

I have two episodes left to watch. Like has been already pointed out the original discs were out of broadcast order and also missing one episode.

Amazon did try via several E-mails to get me to pay for the replacement discs or to return the original discs at my expense until I found the link to write a reply. They did indeed bill my credit card but after a sharply worded response from me along with the original E-mail stating that return was NOT necessary I also received a credit.

The biggest problem as far as I'm concerned is the lack of closed captioning or English subtitles. The background music is at such a high level and the actors are often speaking in whispers or hushed tones to point that I miss a fair amount of the dialogue even with the volume turned up quite high. If there is ever a re-release with subtitles I will buy it.

This is one of the best series of this genre. The action never stops. Evil tries to get the upper hand, and the Legacy fights them tooth and nail. Well worth the investment. There are no new ideas in Hollywood and this is one of the shows that could use a second pass.

Just like other reviews, I received the defective set early on. Amazon fixed the issue and sent a replacement set, with apologies, and said "no need to return the faulty set". I threw it away. Now, months later, Amazon demands I return this original faulty set, or else they will charge me the $29.95 original price AGAIN. What?
