I have tested many of the less expensive PC cameras and this one is absolutely worth the money. I bought this so my wife can talk with her mother, over the internet. We tried other models but the only way we could make the audio work without echoes was to use headphones. My wife's mother would not use it. We have cable modem and my mother-in-law has DSL connection to the internet. The video quality is unsrpassed by all the other models I have tested and the audio is better than a phone call. No echoes, no cut out words or phrases. With my PC speakers it sounds like a high quality speakerphone. This one has an on board processor in the unit that makes the video look great.
The benefit is now we don't pay for long distance calls and they can video as long as they like, as well as see each other. Definately worth the money in my book.

It was advertised as a good camera, but actually it is an extremely terrible one.
It is too old (2002 product), viavideo 3.0 that none of the drivers I ever find online or from the CD fits the camera.
The seller failed to help and even not response for my request for a valid driver.
Dont' buy it if you don't plan to screw you up with the terrible camera.

OVERPRICED - OVERRATED!! September 11, 2002
By A Customer
This unit, while fully functional, offers nothing a lower priced unit won't give you. The Intel Pro operates as well at a fraction of the price. any cam nees a good thruput connection on both ends - yours and the person you are talking /videoing with! If you have dsl or cable thats half the battle. Don't get caught up in the glorified "onboard video processor".
