Unfortunately there is no enlarged picture of this product to show you that the eagle is not the one on the other brand flags of this style. The eagle is very cartoon-ish and goofy looking, not the Imperial eagle which should be on the flag. Otherwise, the material is of good quality.

The coat of arms (the eagle) depicted on this flag for sale is the "official" unofficial version. What this means is Germany has two versions, one for offical government use only, and one for civilian use. This coat of arms matches the unofficial version, the civilian use variant, so it is an authentic design. Use of the offical flag by non-government officials is against the law. Therefore Amzazon.com may not be able to legally sell one (trade and commerce laws) and it may be near impossible to find one from any commercial seller. (See the differance in the two flags: "List of German Flags," Wikipedia). Polyester material flags are lighter, thinner, and therefore cheaper and flaws do appear, so for that aspect buyer beware.

This is a great product for the price, shipped and delivered within 24 hours, is a good size with vibrant colors, the texture isn't the greatest but that does not take off from the products value... great product, especially for the money.

my husband loves his flag he collects german stuff and was thrilled to get this for his birthday. thanks. its a very sturdy material also.

I was very excited when my flag arrived but when I put it on my room's wall i was very disappointed cause the eagle is surrounded by a white line I mean the entire shield and this looks like 4 a toy or something like that but is not the real flag of Germany.

It is a shame that this flag, according to another comment, has not been produced with the right specifications for the eagle. My entire step family was German, and they were good people. Seeing companies, trying to make a quick buck by throwing something out of low quality, does not make me happy. It might in fact, be a great reproduction? I'm staying clear, and will instead purchase another German flag, which is of greater quality. Same eagle, same stripes.

Off topic:

I find it offensive, that if one is to type in "German Flag", the results also show a Nazi flag. While Germany did in fact partake in these ideals some odd years ago (which are really interesting, if you research SOME of the beliefs); basically, it's just rude, to list these together. If I typed "Saving Money", it's not going to come up with a Hebrew flag? So called equality. Needs a lot of work. We're all different. We all have our own wonderful things about us, along with flaws. Tired of feeling so mixed up, when trying to make a good purchase. Everything should be made with quality. There is a certain standard, when representing one's country/heritage. Ive come to understand.. that we're right and wrong on some things. Please post a larger picture. I can't examine the details fair enough. Thanks.
