5.0 out of 5 stars My all time favourite., December 26, 2002
By
Vladimir (Moscow, Russia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Polyfusia (Audio CD)
This is by far my first review on amazon, and actually i'm not very much into writing that stuff.
I came across this album in the middle of 1994 and remember that it sounded pure magic to me. The sound was completely on its own, not in connection with anything i'd heard before. Some of the tracks were so beautiful i was on the edge of crying.

Now that 8 years have passed it still sounds wonderful and will certainly make my top-5 list of my ever-favourites. There is tons of fantastic stuff among other bands i discovered during that 8-year period, but i compare the impact that Seefeel made on me to probably only Stars of the Lid and some of their colleagues from Kranky.

I can't really recommend this album to just anyone, but if you're normally sensitive to atmospheric and colourful music this album is for you. The same applies to Quique as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seefeel - 'Polyfusia' (Astralwerks), April 16, 2007
This review is from: Polyfusia (Audio CD)
About as out-standing as their 'Quique' effort (see my review). Still don't know much about this artist, but I do KNOW that I love what I hear. I'm not even that HUGE of an electronic fan, but Seefeel is apparently an exception. Tracks here I was playing several times over were the superb opener "More Like Space", "Come Alive", the atmospheric "Blue Easy Sleep" and the creatively-written "Minky Starshine". Simply more of Seefeel's trademark dreamy electronic/techno to thoroughly soak in. Another must-have.

4.0 out of 5 stars beautiful, October 12, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Polyfusia (Audio CD)
This is high quality noise. Loops of continuous, saturated guitar riffs remind My Bloody Valentine, but there is also a connection with Cocteau Twins. (Not casually, both Shields of MBV and Clifford of Seefeel have produced Cocteau Twins tracks). In any case, Seefeel is a very original act. This album, recorded in the same year of Quique, is still beautiful 6 years after its release and stands out in the arena of ethno/techno/ambient/trance/electronica (Banco de Gaia and Spacetime Continuum, I am talking to you!). It will appeal to AFX lovers and to CT fans. If you like this music, check out Scala, Woodenspoon and other aliases under which the former band members release their recent work.
