First off, this album is intense, in the best way possible. If you enjoy heavier progressive metal riffs and/or "heavy" driving electronic beats this will thoroughly satisfy you. I was a little disappointed that most of the guitar parts were just samples and not actual riffs. I feel a true prog-metal guitar player could add a lot to this band. Overall it ends up leaning toward the more electronic side of things but is no worse off for it. Great for workouts or any other skull-crushing activities.

Love the combination of synth and heavy guitar, very few bands are doing it and most are just side projects of one or two of the members. If you like Polymorphic Code check out The Browning they do this stuff better with heavier guitars and some real pissed off vocals to go with it too! Cybermetal rules!!

Remi Gallego, the musical genius behind The Algorithm has really blown up since the first time I ever heard his music, while it was still free to download. His music is an acquired taste for sure, if you like the glitchy sounds combined with metal style drums and at the same time a more subtle electronic/dubstep (at times) sound. I've heard music similar to this style before, but Remi has created something truly unique with his music and the sounds he combines that he can call his own. Polymorphic Code is by far his best album, even better then his latest Octopus 4, i think. Every track on here is quite memorable from beginning to end. The last song though is his best song by far, Panic. Its 12:00 minutes long and since I bought the album about a little over a month ago, not a day has gone by that I haven't listened to the song Panic. Its amazing, and you're going to want to hear it again and again. 5 STARS!!!

It was a bit of a surprise that it was in a more flimsy folder case and not a normal CD case, but that doesn't mean this album is any less awesome. This is probably my favorite of The Algorithm's albums, since it's musically great and almost wordless. (The newest album's dropping of the f-bomb kinda saddened me; I preferred the "instrumental" feel.)

I listen to this album over and over again. It's spinning in my car all day everywhere I go. Even though it's really short, the whole thing is great if you're into heavy electro dub chiptune prog-metal inspired music. Keep it up! I can't wait until the Octopus4 album drops!

- I've never heard anything like this before
- Combination of two genres that are already pretty damn good separate.
- Sound quality is better than you could ever ask for
- Got it for 6 dollars! That's a steal

I first heard the song " Trojans" on the blog , GotDjent.com .
Well, couldn't imagine that eventually by cross combining 2 pionneers of the respective styles, it would end up into The Algorithm.
First branch would be the Great Jean-Michel JARRE, everyone knows him and his work. Second branch would be Misha MANSOOR from PERIPHERY. If you don't know this band yet, simply hear a couple of songs (New Groove, Icarus Lives or Ji) and you will discover the fantastic talent and potential of this band.
So what is this thing called THE ALGORITHM ?
As for me , it's a Jarre meets Mansoor kind of music.
Remy GALLEGO, (very talented french artist) made it for real. Music is this album is both powerfull and beautifull. The Djent Style trademark (those "shhh" cyborg like rythm playing riffs) is there and the electronics parts open new etheral horizons. That's pretty refreshing. In a nutshell, this first debut LP is a MASTERPIECE.
