I read a lot of speculative fiction, and I am REALLY pleased by these Polyphony story collections (there's five so far). The editors seem to have a really wide range of tastes, and the stories are spread across the entire sci-fi/fantasy spectrum. Often I'll read anthologies of two different genres at the same time, cause I find that reading just one genre, the stories start to lose their flavor. I was impressed that with these collections, that doesn't happen, each story seems to come out of left field - a real treat. I've read #1 and #3 so far, but I have #2, #4 and #5 on my book shelf, waiting their turn.

So normally, when I see someone say, "You should buy this book," in a review, I think, uh-oh, a shill or a relative, etc. I'm not, I'm just your average reader, but I'm going to say it anyway: You oughta try at least one of these. If you are a highly discriminating, incredibly intelligent and very good looking person like me (IMHO, LOL!), or even if you're not, I have a feeling you will like them as much as I do!

PS: I'm lazy, I'm not gonna copy this review to the other volumes like I should - if you want to cut and paste this to one of the others, feel free.
