Threw this boomerang and caught it on the first try!

Really easy to use (read directions first!). One issue that came up was its long range (20-30 yards .. 60-90 feet) which we needed to find a bigger space (since it got stuck in the trees). Other than the trees issue, though, the boomerang was PERFECT. I bought the scimitar (which is great for nighttime throwing), but love this one even more since it's very reliable once you figure out where the wind is coming from.

Hot: Flight is smooth and doesn't change, easy to throw, caught it on the first try!
Cool: Made of durable plastic (crashed into a tree a couple times and it's okay!), feels like a good weight not too heavy or too light
Not so hot: Long range makes it hard to throw in a small space

I got this boomerang for my son, age 11. He read the reviews and liked the looks of it. It was great at first: it really did come back, he was able to catch it, and when it inevitably ended up in a tree, the bright orange color was easy to spot for rescue. However, my son was able to use it about 3 days and then one of the ends chipped off. I'm looking for a kid friendly boomerang that can handle some impact without breaking, guess I'll check out the wooden ones.

I admit I am far from a boomerang expert, so I am not going to compare this boomerang to other boomerangs. I purchased this product for a high school calculus project (demonstrating the real world applications of math, or in this case, airfoil design and gyroscopic precession). This boomerang is made of a sturdy plastic; it's heft and weight is reassuring. I can't imagine this thing breaking under anything less than phenomenal stress. We threw it many times; it landed on grass, concrete, and even hit a metal sign in mid-flight, yet all it has are a few minor scratches and did not bend perceptibly. If you are not careful, you can very easily injure someone with this. Anyway, I would completely recommend this product because of its reliability, durability, and general awesomeness.

This boomerang isn't really for young kids because of its size and it's hard plastic structure. However it flies great and I was able to get it to return to me within a couple of tries. You need a lot of space for it though because the aerodynamics allow it to travel pretty far.

This is my first boomerang and although I have had limited success so far, the instruction booklet is extremely helpful for a beginner. It has returned to me a few times, but usually not at the angle I expected. Well constructed, I must say.

It seems heavy due to its size but after you throw it it flies perfectly.
There are instructions printed on the plain side which helps you to find the correct spot to launch it.

bright and light! the boomerang works after you get the hang of it. It is very thin and hard to see when it is returning. still very fun!

The boomerang does work and good enough for a youths first boomerang ;) It was a little smaller and thinner than I envisioned but as I said,it works,and it seems to have the capacity for improvment with practice.

does not do what it says it does, may be i donot know how to use it, over all its lying there not doing any thing
