5.0 out of 5 stars pomegranate
This little beauty arrived in great shape, with a mature root system and nice branching. It arrived just four days after ordering and it even has flowers! Dwarf Pomegranate Plant - Punica - Bonsai or Houseplant

3.0 out of 5 stars wasnt what i was expecting
When i bought this, i had thought that it would be a plant that they would be sending to me. It was a package of around 15 seeds..i was confused by the advertisement showing that it would be already planted. But im still excited to plant them, i am just a little disappointed. The product came in three days so i'll give them props for that.

The dwarf pomegranate tree arrived quickly and in beautiful condition. It was thickly covered in lovely dark green leaves and had many buds on it, even a very immature pomegranate fruit!! I couldn't believe such a nice looking tree came in the mail!

However, the tree started dropping the buds rapidly the next day and within a week all the buds were gone. Then the leaves started turning yellow and dropping off. About 80% of the original foliage fell off. I was so scared that I had killed the tree somehow, but I didn't give up on it. I've had the tree for about a month now and it's doing wonderfully. The leaves are growing back and some of the branches have extended noticeably. No buds have grown back yet, but I'm so pleased it's growing again that the buds don't matter.

Despite the problems I had, I still have to give this tree 5 stars. It was so gorgeous when it arrived, and it only cost $9.99, plus shipping. And if it continues growing with such voraciousness I'm sure it will look like its old self in no time.

1.0 out of 5 stars little sprig, January 7, 2012

What was sent to me was a tiny little sprig. The little stem and leaves are so fragile. It certainly doesn't seem worth the money. I'm sure I could produce a sprig this tiny from some dirt in a short amount of time for a few cents. If they are actually selling these, they must be turning a pretty good profit. I won't buy from this outfit again.

2.0 out of 5 stars Much, MUCH smaller than a bonsai., December 8, 2011

So, after much research, it appears that pomegranates are fast growing and maybe this wont be an issue. However, caveat emptor here, people. If you spend the full $14 you probably got a larger, fuller plant than the measly twigs that i received on sale.

With that said, my little twigs have plenty of leaves and seem to have a decent root ball. The plant was extremely well packaged, and arrived in a timely manner. However, buyers should note that there is a large disparity between what buyers receive.

Will try to update this review as my pomegranate progresses.

My Dwarf Pomegranate arrived very quickly and was in very healthy condition, even though the temperatures here in Texas are over 100 degrees. It was wrapped well, and when transplanted into a larger pot and put outside in a sunny location on my porch, started sprouting new leaves almost immediately.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best shipping, no new growth, June 23, 2011

I got my pomegranite plant about 2-3 months ago. it shipped in a box, and it was inside a bag. the pot was covered with tape to contain the dirt. The dirt had moss and a few weeds growing in it. I transplanted it and since then, it has had no new growth at all. Some of the leaves have grown a bit longer, but others have fallen off.

4.0 out of 5 stars fast growing, June 19, 2011

I was a little disappointed when first receiving this plant. It was yellowish and light green color, the packing makes it 2 dimensional like a specimen, the root system was not well developed because it does not form a root ball like other plant I bought. It was very small, barely 6.5" tall.

But after I planted it in a 8" pot and put it in a sunny window, it starts to grow crazy, in 2 weeks, it grows to 10". One more amazing thing is in the fifth day, I cut out a non-symetric little branch (about 3" long) and plant it in a 3" nursing pot, now it is in the 11th day and it is still doing ok, even grows a little leaf on the top!

I gave it a 4 star because the plant still looks very weak (with very thin stems, branches, and leaves), although it grows fast.
