A Great Source for First/Second Generation Trans Am Fans, December 19, 2001
This review is from: Pontiac Trans Am, 1969-1973 (Classic Motorbooks Photofacts) (Paperback)
I am an ardent fan of the first four model years of the Pontiac Trans Am, so I was naturally very pleased when I finally acquired this book. John Grunnell has combined a wealth of pertinent data and information regarding the earliest model years of Trans Ams, including interesting historical trivia in the design and delivery of the Trans Am as a Firebird option. Grunnell writes well organized discussions of the various options that were available for each model year as he tracks the annual changes, including detailed pictures allowing you to compare across the years. All pictures are in black and white, however, except the cover which sports a couple of different years of beautiful Trans Ams in the traditional Cameo White with blue accent colors. He even discusses some difficulties in verifying authenticity through the use of manufacturer serial numbers. I highly recommend this book if you are a fan of early Trans Ams and would like to read a highly informative and fun account of the developmental changes in the Trans Am over the first four years.
