Great book that I read before adopting my poodle,

My husband wanted a poodle. I had never owned one before, though I did have other kinds of dogs. When I saw this book at a library book sale, I snapped it up. It was a really good book and helped me anticipate the needs of our dog before we adopted him. It covers basic training, grooming, breed history, possible behavior, health problems, etc. Great book to help you be extra-prepared for a dog, even if you think you know a lot. The only down side is that it doesn't have any internet resources or product recommendations listed like Your Dog: The Owner's Manual: Hundreds of Secrets, Surprises, and Solutions for Raising a Happy, Healthy Dog.
