More About the Author

Jorge (or Jorge Antonio Tello Aliaga for short) is a writer and illustrator born and raised in Lima, Perú.

His years of experience include designing award winning educational children's software and being a design manager at the world's largest graphic software company. He enjoys writing, drawing, composing, programming, cooking (Peruvian food), and speaking English (with a cool accent!).

Even as a youngster, Jorge dreamed of publishing children's books. His other dreams include designing toys, creating a sci-fi/fantasy magazine, making cartoons, producing movies, building a theme park, becoming president of Perú, and achieving world peace (if time permits) ;)

His name is Spanish for George and it is pronounced "HOR-heh".

About Pookie and Tushka
Pookie was born at the end of 1995 when a friend of the author needed a character for a college assignment.
Tushka was born in 1997 when the author first conceived the idea to write a children's book.
This book is all about being a kid, feeling alone in the world, longing for a good friend, and ultimately finding one.

About The Blobbies
The first Blobbie was born in early 1996 as a doodle on paper.
As the years went by, the Blobbies became more and more defined until their distinct personalities appeared.
The Blobbies' personality chart was created after intensive research on personality type systems, the psychological significance of colors and the esoteric meaning of each rainbow color.
This book is all about feeling proud of one's self and using one's unique abilities to learn new things and enjoy life.

she thought the little polar bear was hilarious because of the things he was scared off. I thought it was a great way to explain those irrational fears people get and how if you talk them out, they may not be such big fears. She also loved the friendship between the two animals. Beautiful art work. Nice software at the end of the book. And we both love the Iceland facts at the back of the book. Great book to read and spend quality time with your child.

Lovingly illustrated story of a special friendship between a penguin and a polar bear. In addition the book contains some "real" facts of penguins and polar bears and a CD with cool extras like a funny, exciting computer game. (Can't wait for a German version for my nieces)

My son is 5 years old. We read every night and usually its a task of asking him to pick out 2 books to read, basically doing the routine. This is the only book that he has picked out and said "Dad, can you read this one to me" without me having to ask him to pick out books to read. I catch him looking at the beautifully drawn art occasionally. And don't get me started on the CD-ROM that comes with the book. He will pop that thing in all the time and listen to that one song (with P&T playing the Piano) OVER and OVER. This was definitely worth the cover price - check it out!

My 2 year old computer skills have improved for the love of the book. It's Amazing how wanting to see his favorite characters in action have motivated him to learn how to navigate the game. I personally think the story is sweet, educational and fun at the same time . My son loves it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He just can't have enough of it
