Product Description

This is an RPG classic for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Pool of Radiance takes place in a fantasy world called the Forgotten Realms. The game begins by making a party of up to six heroes. As one might expect of a D&D game, the customization is quite extensive. You and a group of heroes are hired to clear the city of Phlan of evil forces. Combat is all turn-based, and exploration mode allows you to take a first-person view to get a better idea of the area you're exploring. You can equip party members with different weapons and teach them different spells. Weapons can be ranged or up-close. Like most RPG's, your party earns experience by defeating enemies. Listening to NPC's can be helpful, though some advice and gossip you might hear can be misleading! Can you save Phlan from a group of monsters?

This is the only AD&D game for the Nes that gets it right in my opinion. Its about as close to playing the table top game as you can get. There are plenty of challenging quests and hours of fun. Of course being an Nes game the graphics aren't that great but if you're all about gameplay then you'll love this game.
