This brush is a heavy duty, well made brush. It replaced a plastic, now broken brush. The Poolmaster Premier brush is well made, aluminum rather than plastic and will stand up to heavy scrubbing. Well worth the price

So far it works very well. I haven't had it that long, but this time I am keeping my brush out of the sun. I think that might give the brushes longer life. The last brush I purchased (not this model), I did keep it outside in the sun and after a year the brushes started to fall out in the pool. This appears to be a more expensive and sturdy brush. I am happy with the purchase.

Maybe I got a defective one?
