I could only find 15' & 20' hoses at my local pool supply co. For the same cost as the local co's 20' hose (without a swivel end mind you), I was able to get this 40' heavy-duty hose.

We have a rather big pool and the 30 foot hose seemed short and I liked the extra hose but even with 1 1/2 HP pump it is hard to develop super strong suction on 40 feet of hose. If oyu can get by with 30 or 35 feet take my advice and stick to shorter hose. In this case the quality is fine but the extra length of hose seems to impede the overall vacuum ability of the pump.

The hose split open while I was using it for the 1st time, it did not not last through the 1st pool cleaning. At least I am getting my money back.

A little expensive.
Fits perfectly under my skimmer. Winds up easily, but it is difficult to keep it that way. Feels like great quality.

is it what you want
bought this for a Hayward navigator--doesnt work as the ends do not fit the navigator. Product itself seems well made and I will use for other purposes
