Poop w/ flies is one of those rare treats in life when you come to the realization that Humanity has been served by the efforts a few. The world didn't ask for it, but here it is-- highly conceptual explorations of the relationship between poop and flies. You'll be the better for having enjoyed it.

As an English professor at the University of Pittsburgh, I would like to say that this book offers an extensive and often quite perceptive view of how both flies and humans eat poop. I must admit that at first I was biased, thinking that this book would be full of jokes and other such "B.S.",(if you can excuse the pun), however after a close reading, I realized the mistake I had made in misjudging this wonderful piece of American literature. I would suggest this book be used in conjuction with other instructional reading materials for high schoolers of America. It offers great insight on the subject it covers as well as offering great literary guidelines for those less-experianced. Overall, a great intellectual book full of refreshing honesty about a subject that is taboo. It's time America wakes up and discovers the wonders of poop.

I'm so sick of books that you read just so you can feel intelligent and converse with other people who read the same book so they could feel intelligent and so on and so forth - WAKE UP PEOPLE! - with Poop With Flies, you can actually sit down, look at cartoons of poop with flies, and just let your mind go. There's no need to be embarrassed of poop. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The book is a masterpiece of illustrations and insights into the secret world of flies. This book allows us for the first time to get a real glimpse at what flies might actually think, feel and say if they were able to communicate. It's a page turner. The drawings are hysterical while at the same time nauseating. I chuckled, I laughed, and by the end of the book I was in tears. Casteel and his co-illustrators have really hit upon some powerful subject matter with this one. I would encourage everyone to pick up "Poop with Flies" and run with it! It's a winner! I've never read anything like it. I'm already looking forward to his next work!

I stumbled across this book while looking for "Everyone Poops" for my son. I used to know the author (pretty silly guy) so I thought I'd give it a shot. I was surprised at how much the book amused me (my husband loved it too).

If you are ever in the mood for some good laughs, this is the book for you.

Ok. If you have a weak stomach, you might be skeptical. HOWEVER, I was pleasantly surprised at the number of belly laughs this book got out of me. That's a pretty unusual feat these days. Honestly, although I had to skip a couple of pages for fear of becoming a little too like a 12 year old, the first thing I wanted to do was buy a bunch and give them to my friends as gifts. It's not just funny the first time. It's kind of like having a "Far Side" desk calendar. If I'm feelin' a little down, I just open the book....and laugh.

My grandma says "I think this is a book for boys." While it may not be for all grandmas, it is for everyone who wants a good laugh. Highly inspirational reading for the coffee table or the commode.

I really enjoyed the visual imagery displayed in this wonderful peice of non-fiction. "NON-FICTION? " Yes, these words ring true to big city living. I should know. I live in the big city, Bucyrus! My recommendation is limited to those who enjoy heavy traffic, smog, and the wonderful smell of commerce (Taxi Driver). Poop with Flies is a definite must see!
